Scarlett's POV
After Ivan dropped me home, I went straight to my mother's room, hoping that she was home and thankfully she was. And I told her about this fashion show in Paris that Ivan was holding and how it would mean a lot to him, if I could join him over there to support him.
Even though I had already braced myself for a big, fat no, but what came at me is something that I never expected...she said yes and I almost squealed in happiness. Then she explained how she had been observing me lately, how I've been looking too gloomy and sad for some reason, so she just wanted to see my happy self back again, which is why she said yes.
Later I went upto Charlotte's room and informed her that I'll be leaving for Paris with Ivan tomorrow and I also tried convincing her to join me but she denied saying that she didn't want to third wheel between Ivan and I, which is utter nonsense because we are just friends and will always be.
I rolled my eyes at the teasing smile that she was passing me, but all in all she was happy that finally I will be away from him...even if it's for only a few days and how that may help me to move past whatever happened between us.
And I don't know if this trip would help me move on from him or not but I'm more than happy about going to Paris.
Later that evening I realized that in all the happiness of going to Paris, I forgot to inform the very person that I am going with. Fishing out my phone, I quickly sent a text to Ivan, informing him that my mother has allowed me to go along with him and he replied me with a dancing bunny's GIF.
I laughed at my phone's screen.
"What are you laughing at?" Samantha asked, raising an eyebrow at me and with that question of hers everybody else who was sitting at the dining table also looked at me, except him.
Ryan, Vienna and everybody else was over at our place tonight for dinner and we were almost done with dinner when my mother's friend, Anne, showed up too but she didn't stay for too long and left after sitting with us for a while and my mother retired to her room as well, so now it was just Ryan, Vienna, Samantha, Landon, Charlotte, I and...well...just some guy that I don't wanna think about.
"Scar" Samantha called out, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Um. Yeah?" I asked, confused as to what we were talking about.
"What are you laughing at?" She asked.
"Oh. It's nothing" I waved it off.
"Alright, I have something to tell you all" I said, excited, keeping my phone aside as everybody looked at me, waiting for me to go on.
"One of my friend has a fashion show this week, in Paris..." I paused.
"So I'm leaving for Paris tomorrow but of course I'll be back before your wedding" I continued, looking at Vienna as I said the last words and everybody looked surprised for some reason, except Charlotte.
And...when I said that I'll be leaving tomorrow, he, who hasn't even spared me a glance after that night, finally looked up at me and this time I was the one to avert my eyes off him.
"What?" Samantha exclaimed.
"How come your friend is having her own show? Isn't she like your age or something?" Landon asked, casually.
"I'm also friends with people older than me. It's his first ever show and he really wants me there" I replied.
"He?" David and Ryan exclaimed at the same time with an eyebrow raised and I couldn't help but roll my eyes letting out a scoff.
