Scarlett's POV
"Scarlett!"
Charlotte ran after me.
"What was that with David?"
"What was what? Charlotte"
"You know what"
I let out a heavy sigh, shutting my eyes close for a moment, stopping in my tracks as we reached my room.
"Charlotte, there's nothing between him and——"
"Though that's a lie but right now that's not what I am talking about" She interrupted me and for a moment I felt the tips of my ears turning red at my own wrong assumption that she was probably talking what's going on between David and I.
"What was that? The London thing?" She asked.
"Are you really going to London? If yes, then why am I finding about it just now?" She added in disbelief as if she was hurt.
"I'm not going anywhere, Charlotte" I entered my room and she followed behind me.
"Were you lying to David then?" She frowned and I stayed silent at that before dumping myself on the couch at the corner of my room.
"Why? Why would you do that?" She walked towards me and I sighed yet again before throwing my head back against the couch.
"Nothing, Charlotte, I just——" I trailed off before opening my eyes again.
"We were dancing and before I could even realize it...we were so close suddenly, we kinda had a moment there and then he said something like we can't do this...this isn't right and stuff..." I paused.
"And then as a response to that I just blurted out that he won't have to deal with me anymore" I continued while staring at the ceiling.
"And?" She raised her brows at me.
"Well, then you heard the rest" I sat straight up and shrugged.
"He wasn't ready to let me go without knowing what I meant when I said that...so I lied to him about the London thing..."
"I just blutered out the first thing that came to my mind..."
"In reality Ivan never suggested anything about London school of fashion...in fact we never even spoke about any such thing"
"Oh" Was how Charlotte responded to everything that I just said.
"I even need to talk to Ivan..." I paused.
"He looked so hurt when he saw David and I together...I guess he has figured that I feel something for David" I continued.
"Well, like I said, even a blind person could tell what's going on between you two" Charlotte replied.
"Anyways, come on" I mumbled running a hand through my hair, closing my eyes and letting out a heavy sigh before getting up.
"Ryan and Vienna must be leaving any minute now, we must see them off" I added walking out.

"Ivan"
"I'm really sorry about that night" I stared down at the slice of lemon cheesecake sitting at the table, staring back at me as if waiting for me to eat it already but I've just been playing around with it for as long as we've been sitting here, at our go to cafe.
It's been a couple of days since Ryan and Vienna's wedding and I've just been putting off this 'talk' with Ivan as much as I could.
Neither did he contact me and nor did I, but he is a dear friend to me whom of course I don't want to lose, so this talk was much needed to clear any misunderstanding that could possibly ruin our friendship.
