Scarlett's POV

"Ladies and gentlemen, family and friends, today we are gathered here to witness and celebrate the union of Mr. Ryan Knight and Miss Vienna Green in marriage..."

Vienna looked so beautiful today and my brother looked so happy...may god always keep them smiling just like that.

"Now you may take your vows"

I smiled, watching as my brother and Vienna took their lifelong vows...as they promised eachother forever before exchanging their rings.

"Now I pronounce you Man and Wife..."

"You may kiss your bride"

Ryan didn't need to be twice as he lifted Vienna's veil off and they mumbled something to eachother, smiling wide, before kissing each other and the crowd broke out into cheers and claps.

My eyes brimmed with tears as I clapped watching the beautiful union and just then my eyes fell on David, who was standing by my brother's side as his best man, cheering happily for his best friend and I couldn't help but smile a little looking at him.

Wearing a tuxedo, he was looking as handsome as ever and that happiness on his face, was just adding more and more to his beauty.

"Hey! Are you crying?" Ivan's voice snapped me out as he placed his hand mine. He was sitting beside me.

"Ah. No. I'm not" I lied, before soaking up the tears on the edges of my eyes using a tissue before they could fall down my cheeks and ruin my minimal make up.

Later that evening after the bride and groom's first dance, everybody else danced joined the dance floor too, along with their partners and friends.

Ivan asked me for a dance and I happily placed my hand in his and he led me towards where everybody else was dancing.

He placed his on my waist and pulled me a bit closer, much to my surprise, and not wanting to be rude, I just let it slide and placed mine on his shoulder.

Every now and then, Ivan would bring up one or the other funny thing from our trip to Paris, making me laugh out loud, and every once in a while he would whisper things in my ear, stuff about the guest at the wedding as we judged them together or just some random stuff.

We continued talking and laughing around while dancing to the slow, soothing music, but soon my eyes began wandering, looking for what or whom? God knows, but they seemed to stop wandering around once they landed on him, who was dancing with Vienna but already had his eyes set on us.

Our eyes met and Ivan's voice slowly faded away and so did the music...so did everybody and everything else as I kept staring at him, none of us taking our eyes off each other, his eyes soft as he stared back at me before mumbling something to Vienna without breaking eye contact with me.

Vienna nodded her head before they both began walking in opposite directions and when he neared me, was when I realized that he was walking towards me.

Wait. What?

Why? What does he needs from me now?

Snapping out of the trance I quickly averted my eyes off him and looked elsewhere nervously, hoping that he was actually headed somewhere else and not to me.

"Scar. Are you okay?" Ivan asked sensing how I was acting weird and looking here and there.

I looked back at him and before I could cook up a lie and reply, we were interrupted by none other than the devil himself.

I shut my eyes close and exhaled a heavy breath as I heard his voice.

"Mind if I cut in?"

"Oh. No, absolutely not, man" Ivan was quick to reply and let go off me.
