Jungkook raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing at the corners of his lips. "You sure about that? I don't mind taking the floor."

Taehyung shook his head, a hint of stubbornness in his eyes. "No way. You're the one who brought the blankets, so you get the bed. I'll manage just fine down here."

Jungkook chuckled, clearly amused by Taehyung's insistence. "Alright, if you insist."

Taehyung moved to the floor, arranging the blankets and foams to make himself as comfortable as possible. He glanced up to see Jungkook already making himself at home on the bed, stretching out with a relaxed ease.

As Taehyung settled onto the floor, he found himself glancing up at Jungkook, who looked unusually at ease. The contrast between their sleeping arrangements was stark, but it somehow added to the peculiar comfort of the situation.

Jungkook looked down at him, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "You know, it's kind of weird how comfortable this feels. Almost like we've done this before."

Taehyung laughed softly, shaking his head. "Yeah, well, maybe we should get used to it. You never know when you might need to crash at someone's place."

"Oh, wait! Mom wakes me at morning! I need to lock the door..." Taehyung said in an urgent tone.

Jungkook's eyes sparkled with mischief as he watched Taehyung scramble to lock the door. "Aren't you a little worried about locking me in with you?" he teased, leaning casually against the bedframe.

Taehyung shot him an incredulous look, fumbling with the lock. "Seriously? I'm just trying to keep the door secure so my mom doesn't catch you. Not like I'm worried about you escaping or anything."

Jungkook chuckled, his tone light and playful. "Oh, I don't know. Maybe I should be worried. You've got me all locked in here, after all."

Taehyung rolled his eyes, finally securing the lock. "There. Happy now? It's not like you're actually going anywhere. You're sleeping in my bed, remember?"

Jungkook grinned, stretching out on the bed with exaggerated ease. "Yeah, yeah. Just making sure you're not up to any sneaky tricks."

With a final smirk, Jungkook settled into the bed, while Taehyung made his way back to the floor. As he arranged his blankets, he couldn't help but smile at the playful banter, feeling oddly content despite the unconventional sleeping arrangements.

"Goodnight, Jungkook," Taehyung said, settling down with a sigh.

"Goodnight, Tae," Jungkook replied, his voice softening as he turned off the bedside lamp.

As the room settled into quiet once more, both of them felt a surprising sense of comfort in each other's presence, the playful teasing a reminder of the unexpected friendship they were building.

Jungkook couldn't shake the feeling of Taehyung's presence in the room. The closeness, the way Taehyung's breathing created a rhythmic lull in the quiet, made it hard for Jungkook to relax. He tried to focus on the sounds of the house settling around them—the distant hum of the air conditioning, the occasional creak of the floorboards—but it was no use. His mind kept circling back to the fact that Taehyung was just a few feet away, and he couldn't help but feel a bit self-conscious.

He turned onto his side, glancing at Taehyung, who was now curled up in his blanket, seemingly fast asleep. The vulnerability of the moment, the fact that they were sharing this space, made Jungkook's thoughts spin. He was used to being in control, to being the one in charge, and this was a new, unsettling feeling.

Jungkook shifted again, trying to find a comfortable position, but every movement seemed to make his thoughts more chaotic. He wanted to ignore the way Taehyung's presence affected him, but it was impossible. The proximity was both comforting and unnerving.
