Taehyung's eyes narrowed slightly as he scrutinized Jungkook. He could tell from the way Jungkook avoided direct eye contact and hesitated in his response that there was more to the story.

"So... did you kiss me a second time or not?" Taehyung asked, his voice tinged with both curiosity and a hint of frustration.

Jungkook's face flushed slightly as he fumbled for his words. "No, I only made you swallow the medicine..."

Taehyung's gaze hardened as he saw through the lie. The subtle blush on Jungkook's face and the way he shifted uneasily were enough to confirm Taehyung's suspicions. He had a vague recollection of a second kiss, blurred by his fever, but the feeling lingered.

"You're lying," Taehyung said softly, his voice tinged with disappointment. "I know you kissed me again. I could feel it. Why would you lie about it?"

Jungkook's shoulders slumped slightly, a sigh escaping him as he struggled to find the right words. "I didn't want to make things awkward between us," he said finally. "I was worried about how you'd react when you were still so sick. It seemed better to just say nothing."

Taehyung's eyes softened as he processed Jungkook's confession. He could understand Jungkook's hesitation, but it didn't make the situation any less confusing. "I appreciate that you took care of me," Taehyung said quietly. "But if something happens, I'd rather hear the truth from you, even if it's awkward."

Jungkook met Taehyung's gaze with a mixture of relief and anxiety. "I'm sorry, Tae. I just didn't want to overstep."

Taehyung nodded, trying to come to terms with the complexity of their situation. "It's okay. Just be honest with me from now on. We need to communicate better if we're going to figure this out."

The room fell into a tense silence as both of them contemplated the new, unspoken boundaries between them. The kiss, though tender and caring, had introduced a layer of complication that neither of them was entirely prepared for.

Taehyung said, "I still can't believe you are actually in my bedroom..." and poked Jungkook's cheek.

Jungkook chuckled softly at Taehyung's playful poke, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, I suppose it's a bit unconventional," he said with a teasing smile. "But I couldn't just leave you alone when you were sick."

Taehyung's eyes softened, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "It's just... a lot to take in. I never imagined we'd end up like this."

Jungkook shrugged, his grin widening. "Life has a way of surprising us. Besides, I guess we both needed each other in some way."

Taehyung tilted his head, studying Jungkook. "Yeah, I suppose you're right. Thanks for being here, even if it's not exactly how I pictured things."

Jungkook gave a small, reassuring nod. "Anytime, Tae. I'm just glad you're feeling better. And who knows? Maybe we'll get used to this unconventional arrangement."

Taehyung laughed softly, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort despite the chaos of the past days. "Maybe we will. Just... don't make it a habit to break into my room, okay?"

Jungkook's eyes twinkled with mischief. "No promises."

"I'm sorry I doubted that you attacked my mom..." Taehyung said in pain. "But...you know, I still can't trust you..."

Jungkook nodded, acknowledging the pain behind Taehyung's words. "I understand, Tae. Trust takes time, and I know I've got a lot to prove. All I can do is show you that I'm here for you, and that I truly care."

Taehyung sighed, looking down at his hands. "It's just hard to let go of the suspicion, especially with everything that's happened. I want to believe you, but... it's complicated."
