Chapter 2: Making Up

Mabel POV

Is there something going on between me and Dipper. No. He's just crazy and won't admit it. I mean he is going to be wrecked when-
"AH!"
I scream as Grunkle Stan slams the breaks on the car in front of the mystery shack. Soos's car pulls up behind us. We all get out of the car. I glare at Dipper he glares back. We all go inside. Me and Dipper are the lasts ones in. Immediately I see Melody at the cashier stand. She waves hello to us. I smile then turn to Dipper. "Race?"
He stares at me for a minute. "You're on."
We both make a run for the stairs. Dipper gets there before me but I pull his messenger bag strap causing him to fall backwards. I run up the stairs. He quickly gets up and follows after me. I reach the door first. I jump and hit the door frame. Dipper comes behind me panting. "You cheated!"
I grin. "There's no rule against it!" I say in a sing songy voice.

Wendy POV

"Did something happen? Did either of them talk about it in their letters?"
Ford sighs. "I don't know Wendy but they aren't acting like themselves."
Soos readjusts his cap. "I mean no offense to the little dude but... he seems more confident? It's lowkey kinda weird..."
Stan looks towards the stairs. "I noticed that too... I just want them to make up before my sanity is lost."
I start heading towards the staircase. "I'm gonna go check on them."
Everyone gives me expression like I'm willing sacrificing myself to the devil. I roll my eyes and head upstairs. I reach their door it's closed. I overhear Dipper. "Mabel and-" the second name gets muffled by what I can assume is Mabel's hand. "K - I- S - S - I - N - G!"
Mabel screams. "Stop Dipper!"
I open the door before a screaming match can take place. "You two! Get over here now!"
They stare at me shocked. They both hesitantly walk towards the door. I point to both of them. "You guys are going to make up."
Dipper turns away from Mabel. "I'm not making up with a person who lies to herself everyday."
Mabel turns away from Dipper. "Well, I'm not making up with someone too naïve to see the truth."
I tap my foot aggressively. "Fine then you'll stay in this room all summer."
They snap their heads to me. At the same time they both scream, "What!?"
I walk out. "I will be outside."
I slam the door and lock it behind me. I walk down the stairs. I sit down at the table next to Stan. Ford stares at me. "Did they make up?"
I smirk. "They will."

Dipper POV

Wendy slammed the door. I run to try and open the door but it's locked. I sigh running my hand through my hair. "Mabel look. I don't get what's so bad about liking a girl instead of a guy? There's nothing wrong with it."
Mabel glares into my soul. "It's not just some girl! It's Pacifica! She would never like me back!"
She starts tearing up. I walk over to her and place a hand on her shoulder. "Your not gonna know til you ask."
She circles her hands. "But- but- what if she doesn't and... she doesn't want to be my friend anymore?"
"Then she's not worth it."
Mabel hugs me. I stumble back a bit. I hug her back. She whispers in my ear. "I'm sorry. I just don't want to see you get hurt."
I pull back looking her in the face. "I won't, he would never-"
Suddenly there is a loud knock on the door. It's Stan. "Hey Kiddos! Make up yet?"
I yell back. "I think?"
Mabel holds out her arms. I do the same. We both say. "Awkward sibling hug?"
