❝ I'D RATHER SING TO THE ENTIRE
SCHOOL AND GET FOOD THROWN
AT ME. ❞

IT WAS UTTER CHAOS in the nielsen household.

after connor and reina's argument, the two each decided to skip the rest of school. it wouldn't look too good on their track record, considering it was the first week and they used to skip school a bunch of times in middle school. but between their equal frustration, being at school wasn't helping.

reina couldn't stand being in her room any longer. it was filled with constant reminders of her and connor's friendship - or rather, their past friendship.

from photo frames all the way down to his flannels, hoodies, and oversized dorky shirts in her wardrobe, she ran out of her room. the worst part is, her wrist felt bare. she never took it off besides to shower.

she missed him, more than anyone understood. unfortunately, being the stubborn girl she is, she wouldn't admit that. if anything, connor should be more guilty. he's the one who turned it into an argument, when all i wanted to do was to check up on him.

"rei, you gotta talk about it instead of stuffing your mouth - that's the second tub of ice cream you've had!"

staring up at the living room ceiling, reina found herself spending the night at the nielsen household. at first, she only came to hang out for a bit to hopefully distract herself. but after seeing her practically eat her feelings away, and noticing her friendship bracelet gone from her wrist, alyssa knew something had happened.

so, she insisted that reina spend the night. their mother was more than happy for her to, considering they all saw her as family.

reina still laid across the couch, licking her spoon before putting it back into the empty tub. she blindly turned her music up, which was a constant switch between doomsday by lizzy mcalpine, and heartbreak hotel by elvis presley.

alyssa quickly snatched reina's phone and turning off her music. "okay this sad shit," she waved her hand, gesturing to all of reina. "needs to stop."

the curly haired girl blew a strand of hair out of her face, putting the ice cream onto the coffee table. she looked back up at alyssa with an innocent smile, "is there more ice cream?"

alyssa rolled her eyes, going around the couch. she lifted reina's legs and sat where they once were. "seriously, sulking is not a good look on you."

"pfft, i'm not sulking. i just had a lot of ice cream."

"yeah, and if you have another tub you'll sink into the couch," alyssa deadpanned.

reina gasped and put a hand over her heart. "that's not very body positive of you, lyssa."

suddenly, she felt alyssa slap her leg, making her yell in pain. "ow!"

"i cannot believe you are letting yourself go over a small argument with connor."

"letting myself go is a stretch-"
