❝ YOU SHOT A ROCKET LAUNCHER
AT ME?! ❞

REINA FELT SICK. she arrived at connor's house, now stood at his doorstep. she stared at his front door for a minute now, probably looking like a lunatic to every by passer. her fist was inches from the door as she silently contemplated on knocking.

after pulling herself together, she knocked on the door of her second home. seconds later, the door opened, revealing connor's mother. she had pin black straight hair and beautiful features - she didn't look a day over twenty.

"reina! i'm surprised to see you, amor(love)," she smiled.

"hi anne," she greeted politely.

"aren't you supposed to be at school?" she raised her brows, allowing the girl inside.

reina chuckled awkwardly, taking off her shoes and putting them with the others. "well..technically i'm on my break..?"

anne took a sip of her coffee. "you're here for connor aren't you?"

her shoulders dropped. "mhm. i heard he was sick, so i just wanted to check up on him," she admitted.

anne shook her head, feigning hurt. "and to think you came here for me."

reina stifled a laugh.

the woman then sighed. "but on a serious note, you and i both know your mother wouldn't like you skipping on the first week of school."

reina nodded, looking down. "yeah, i know."

"but," anne spoke, catching her attention. "i suppose this can be an exception."

reina smiled gratefully at her. "thanks anne, you're the best!" she said before speed walking up the stairs to connor's room.

stopping at the very last door down the hallway, she didn't waste time to knock on the door. inside, she heard the muffled sounds of a video game being played - presumably halo.

"i don't need anymore medicine, ma!" she heard.

reina opened the door, stepping inside and shutting it after her. "we all know you're not sick."

there he was, not a tissue box or medicine in sight. he wore simple grey sweats and a black tee. connor paused his game and sat up on his bed in shock. "rei?"

a small smile etched onto her face, but it left as soon as it came. "hey con.."

"what are you doing here?"

reina sighed deeply, rolling her eyes and walking towards his bed. she sat down on the edge of the bed, facing him.

"okay we all know i'm stubborn as fuck and i'd literally rather die than swallow my pride to talk about things but you matter to me so much so i'm really, really sorry con you're right dylan is a lying shithead and i shouldn't have assumed you were jealous and i should've known something had happened-"
