Author's POV:
The sun was about to rise and with that the ladies of the house. The very first one to wake were Jaya and Deepti. From last 2 year i.e. when they were 16, they took it upon themselves to make their mother rest as much as possible. This morning was bitter sweet for both of them. One had the first morning in her Sasural (in-law's house) and the second had her last morning in her Mayka (parent's house). Shrugging of all the thoughts both started getting ready for the day ahead.
Jaya was quick to get ready whereas our sweet Deepu struggled to find her clothes as she has not unpacked. Well, our smart Deepu thought 'anyways I have to go to Mumbai in few weeks. Why to unpack and pack my clothes again.'
Jaya with nervous yet mischievous smile knocked on her brother room as she knew what activities they might had indulged in last night. Deepti opened the door and looking at Jaya's smile a very prominent blush was present on her entire face. The smart mouth of her seemed to be glued with embarrassment and shyness. She stepped out of her room and dashed towards the cow shed followed by a laughing Jaya.
While milking the cow the teasing smile of Jaya's didn't fade. Deepti getting frustrated said "Laugh as much as you want but today's night will be your suhagrat (first night). Then I'll see how much you laugh my sweet nanand (sister-in-law)."Saying this she left behind a flustered and embarrassed Jaya. Jaya huffing picked up the buckets of milk and went towards the kitchen. She saw her mother and mother-in-law present over there guiding Deepti for the rituals.
Jaya wanted to help Deepti but was ushered out as Deepti had to do it alone. It was not hard for Deepti to find any ingredients she was basically raised here and helped her mother-in-law anytime she could in past. Jaya went to her room to pack the last things she could think of. Even after going she knows this will be her room forever. Though it made her emotional to pack all her stuff in the suitcase. Packing her 18 years in the suitcase was very hard for her. After her emotional breakdown she washed her face and brought her cute smile back on her face as to not show any weakness in front of her parents.
The breakfast was full of laughter and praises. Everyone praised Deepti's cooking even Jaya's Mother-in-law gifted her a set of bangle which Deepti tried to refuse but Tara said "Like Jaya, you are also my daughter. Take it as my blessings. And it's bad to say no to your mother." Hearing this Deepti couldn't help but give Tara a tearful smile. After the breakfast Hema (Jaya's mother) asked Jaya and Deepti to rest. She knew both needed the rest.
Jaya dressed up in Gharchoda before going down to lunch. Bhavesh was drinking water when he saw Jaya descending the steps looking like a new bride. The water in his throat got choked which resulted in fits of cough. Getting embarrassed he quickly went towards dining room escaping the questioning session.
