When we arrived at the dorm I quickly realised it wasn't what I expected. It was a bit cleaner than expected, minus the random shoes and the curtain that wasn't quite hung up properly.
"Make yourself at home, Y/n!" Chan spoke, picking up the jacket that Jeongin had just thrown on the floor. The boys all seemed to have routine, Hyunjin heading straight to the shower, Seungmin heading to play on the console, Changbin grabbing a snack.
"Do you want to game with us?" Felix asked, holding a controller out to me.
"No way, Lix. You know the rules, schoolwork. You and Leeknow have been slacking." Chan intervened, his hands on his hips. He was like some sort of father figure, Felix pursing his lips and nodding.
"Seriously?" Leeknow grumbled, sitting at the counter with his bag. "Y/n has to study too... she's in our classes." He casually dropped in, causing Chan to look at me.
"Okay-..." I trailed off, walking towards the island counter to join Leeknow with Felix trailing behind me.
We started to study, or rather we tried. It was easy to get distracted in a house like this. Chan had ordered food, but as time passed by the harder it became to concentrate. I had resorted to writing in a little notepad I liked to carry around.
"You write poems?" I slammed my notebook shut, almost jumping out of my skin when Han spoke.
"Jesus! Han... you scared the life out of me!"
"I've been stood here for 10 minutes Y/n." He gave me a confused look. "You know poems are just lyrics, have you ever tried song writing?"
"Poems, huh?" Felix looked up from the seat across from me.
"You didn't know?" Han questioned.
"You're lucky you even got close to that thing... it's like, glued to her. And she hides it before she sleeps." Leeknow spoke, not even looking up from his study.
"It's... private." I muttered, my cheeks flushing with embarrassment.
"It shouldn't be, it's good." Han shrugged, walking away with his glass of water.
I looked over, to see both the boys staring at me. "What?" I pouted slightly.
"You're just so..." Felix started.
"...surprising." Leeknow finished his sentence, eyeing me carefully.
"But amazing. Poetry is pretty romantic... anything about me in there?" Felix wiggled his eyebrows playfully, leaning an arm against the counter top.
"Like I'd tell you...~" I teased, tucking my notebook in my bag as chan walked over with the takeout bags.
"Seungmin... IN! Set the table!" The man commanded, Leeknow and Felix starting to pack away their textbooks. I quickly mimicked them, putting away my own stuff. Chan set the food on the counter, sort of buffet style. "Feel free to help yourself, y/n... ladies first." He offered.
I paused slightly, watching 8 hungry men waiting around the kitchen. "What?! You're older than me, please." I gestured to the food, understanding they had all been working hard.
"Someone just go." Seungmin huffed, idly holding his empty plate.
I hesitated for a moment, before taking my plate and starting to pick at the food. The others followed in age order, they were all extremely respectful. I took my plate to the table, seating between Leeknow and Felix as we all started to eat.
The boys seemed to laugh and converse, never leaving a moment of silence. It was nice to eat a meal in a somewhat family environment, a small smile pricking at my lips as I enjoyed the company.
After dinner, Chan suggested we all sit around and watch a movie before we call it a night. The guys seemed to be upto it, so we all sat around the living room. Chan took a seat on an armchair, whereas Leeknow sat on the couch, patting the seat next to him. I sat next to him, Felix dropping down on the other side. Hyunjin sat next to Felix, and the others seemed to scatter themselves around the floor with blankets and pillows.
Jeongin got to pick the movie this time, and we all sat silently watching, a bowl of popcorn occasionally making its rounds.
At some point in the movie, I felt a hand carefully massaging the back of my head. I initially assumed it was Felix, but his hand was resting on my thigh. You can imagine my surprise to know it was Leeknow, the guy who couldn't commit, performing boyfriend duties so idly.
I wasn't going to complain, it was pretty nice after the long day I had. I felt Felix move closer, his hands moving around my waist as he nestled his head into me. It was clear he was getting tired, and in response I moved my arm over his shoulders, carefully rubbing his back.
I couldn't help the relaxing sigh that left my lips, leaning my head back into Leeknows hand which earned me a glance. It was barely visible, but I'm sure he had a small smirk on his face. His hand suddenly wrapped around my hair, pulling my head towards him slightly. It wasn't rough, he was unusually gentle with it.
I saw his eyes move down, glancing at my lips. It was clear he was holding himself back with every bone in his body. He looked away, pulling my head towards his shoulder before returning to massaging my head.
I nestled against him, taking in that intoxicating scent as I closed my eyes. I don't fully remember, but at some point I must have fallen asleep against him.
