~CASEY P.O.V~My life as you know has been through ups and downs. I lost and gained. I gained and lost. With much faith, I finally made it through the disaster. I was a survivor. Losing my wife and unborn child two years ago had been the hardest. I'd gone through a depression with pills helping me cope with it. The constant pain was too much to bear. If it wasn't for therapy, I wouldn't have made it. All the money I had couldn't take the pain away. The one thing that could was finding new love. Making a new beginning.
I wanted Kali.
I needed her.
This was why I decided to pick her up after detention. I heard she was involved in a fight that was not necessary. Fighting over a man who didn't care about her at all was a fatuous thing for a girl like her to do. She was too beautiful and smart to have this man living rent-free in her heart. Baby deserved someone better and that someone was me. But girls her age wouldn't understand how much I needed a relationship. How much it was consequential to find someone to settle down with. She was a very young girl and trying to love her and show her that she deserved to be my baby would become arduous.
I saw her walking toward me with her small handbag. She had on a mini skirt and a top, that was close to her cheerleading outfit. There was in no way I wanted her to go to one of my shows looking like that. That skirt was way too short for important events. Those sultry long legs of hers were what I wanted around my waist soon, however it was too risky. Getting involved with her was going to be very difficult. I could tell she was going to be trouble. Since the moment I saw her, I knew she would become the trouble I couldn't get rid of.
I came off the vehicle, dressed in comfortable blue jeans, a white tee and one of my favorite black leather jackets. "Hey you," I told her when she was standing next to me.
"You didn't have to pick me up."
She was a very silly, sexy babe. Always thought it was alright to make me feel bad. "I wanted to see you, Kali. Don't be rude." I opened up the passenger's side for her and I watched as her thin figure went in. Fuck, she was such a tiny little thing that needed lots of care and protection. My fear was breaking her into pieces. A dude as tall, slim, and ripped like me with a girl as petite as her was quite interesting I should say.
And we were on our merry way a few minutes later.
"How was the fight? Did you win?" I asked her.
"Can you tell I'm a winner by the look of my eye?"
I turned to look at her after turning on the light in the car. "Woah you look so bad, baby. Getting that medal was worth it." Fuck, she was still a beauty.
She sniggered. " Haha. I pulled out one of her braids."
"I knew you were a handful. You are a bad bitch and I like it." I winked.
"You should not be okay with my kind of behavior. I was in a fight with my ex's girlfriend."
I lowered the volume of the radio as always and stopped my vehicle at a parking lot. "I'm not fine with that kind of behavior. Why do you think it was okay to get in a fight with his new girlfriend?"
"She ruined part of my life."
"Was it worth it?" I didn't think fighting for some amateurish dude was worth it.
"It was worth it. I got to fuck one of his friends after detention. Today was a blast."
What she said was done on purpose to get to me. I was not very surprised when she said this. Girls her age could be wild and I had to be patient with her. "That is impressive. How was the sex?" I couldn't imagine having sex with her. It had to be perfect.
