One month before Lauren's death
/A flashback

"Aww, cute little onesies. Look at the Burberry one," my pregnant wife said on the small couch she was sitting on. "People are giving me so many cute things." There were lots of gifts beside her on the floor. A lot of people were present and they made my wife the happiest pregnant wife ever. After some time, they left us to give us our privacy.

"Super sweet," I responded.

I was standing beside her in adoration while she opened up some other things. "I love this monogrammed Louis Vuitton burp cloths. Casey our baby is going to be so spoilt." I took that from her and laid it inside a basket with the other gifts.

She stood and let me kiss her growing stomach. She was almost due. My daughter would be in the world pretty soon and I was excited to meet her. "Come here, my love." I kissed her sweet lips and took her to the bedroom we shared. While we were in there, I positioned her on the bed. She was between a very large pregnancy pillow that was needed to keep her comfortable.

"Do you want to get in the shower?"

"I'm so tired."

"I know my love." I got rid of my clothes and wrapped a towel around my waist.

"You should have taken me straight to the shower." I got her in the shower so she could have a bath before going to bed. She couldn't scrub her back too well so I did that for her in the shower. I laid my lips on the back of her head.

I knelt and spread kisses on her stomach. She laughed at how gentle I was with her. When I was standing straight again, I kissed her long and hard. After the shower, she laid down at her side while I fucked her on the bed with her backside facing me.

Lauren who was enjoying me fucking her, held onto part of the pillow without letting go of it. She bit the corner of her lips and said very naughty things.

END OF FLASHBACK

And it all vanished.

I was looking everywhere for Kali, paranoia taking the best of me. Calling and texting her didn't help so I called Rylee. "Where the fuck is Kali?" I yelled over the phone.

"What is going on?"

"Kali is not answering her phone. Her text messages are not being delivered. I think she is ghosting me." I ran my hand through my hair in anger and swore.

"Relax Casey. She probably went out for fresh air and lost her phone. This is unlike her."

"She could be fucking DEAD! I need to go to the police."

"Let me call her. I'll get to you soon." Rylee hung up on me and I was left with frustration, afraid that I was going to lose another. This was starting all over again. Losing Lauren was enough. Losing Kali was another misery of its own.

Rylee called me after and I answered it quickly. "Have you spoken to her?" My heart was not at peace. I felt I was losing all of the strength I had. I had been looking for Kali all morning.

"The messages and calls are not going through. Casey I'll have to contact her parents. They would know."

"Call me back ASAP."
