Chapter 13

Hey cupcakes! This is the last chapter and i am so sad to be finishing this story. But, i might write a sequel. Hope you enjoy it :)

Midnight's POV
"Midnight! Zalgo has got BEN!" Clockwork screamed as she stumbled into the clearing. I stood up suddenly, Link still in my arms.
"What? Why didn't you stop him?" I cried. Jess ran over, and took Link out of my arms.
"I couldn't do anything. Zalgo is going to kill him, after torturing him!" She shouted hysterically. I glared at her.
"I worked that out for myself thanks." I muttered. I turned towards Slendy, Jeff and Jess.
"I'm going to get him. I would prefer it if you stayed here but i know you won't. So, let's go." I said calmly. Without waiting for a reply, i ran off into the forest.

As i ran, i could hear footsteps following me. I turned to see Clockwork racing to catch up with me, Jeff was slightly in front of her with Jess by his side. But no sign of my baby.
"Jess, where's Link?" I called as i ran.
"Slendy has him. They will meet us there." She called back. I turned forwards again, running for my life. Well, not my life, but you get the picture. All i know is that i have to find and save my soulmate... and destroy my father.

BEN'S POV.
Waking up in a blue abyss.
I'm so cold. So afraid. As i look around, i realize i'm in a glass cage. A glass cage filled with water. Panicking, i began to frantically kick and punch the walls of the box, hoping that i could smash them. I was happy to die, for my family. But not like this. Memories began to swim through my mind. Memories of sinking down into the icy depths. Water seeping into my skin, my eyes, my nose and mouth. The feeling of helplessness. I'm so alone. Dimly, i could see a figure standing by the cage. I have to get out of here. Please don't let me drown...

Midnight's POV
When we reached the clearing, a hysterical sob broke through me. Zalgo was standing by a glass box, smirking. Inside the cage, was a writhing figure.
"BEN!" I screamed in terror. Jeff tried to grab me but he was too late. I ran to the box, tears cascading down my face. I screamed and punched the box. I hit it as hard as i could, but it didn't smash.
"BEN please hold on! I will get you out of there!" I choked.
"Its sealed. You can't get him out Midnight. Just leave him to drown, alone and afraid. Listen to your Father dear." Zalgo cooed. I looked at him desperatly.
"NO!" I screamed. I leapt as high as i could, shifting into a hell cat mid-leap. Landing on top of the prison, i scratched at it with my claws. Suddenly, my claws caught on something. A hatch. I ripped it open, diving into the murky water.
"I won't let you die!" I screamed, water slipping down my throat. I grabbed his collar in my teeth and puĺled as hard as i could. Knowing it was no use, i shifted into human form again, pulling him out of the water. I gagged and choked up all the water. But BEN was still.
"BEN?" I whispered, sobs ripping through me. It was like a physical pain, and it wouldn't go away. After what felt like hours, BEN gagged and coughed up water. I sat him up, rubbing his back as he choked up all the water.
"I thought I'd lost you!" I cried, throwing myself into his arms. He hugged me back lovingly.
"You can't get rid of me that easily." He whispered back. He was shaking violently, and his skin felt like ice. But he was alive. All of a sudden, i felt someone grab my hair and pull me off the cage. I cried out in agony, my scalp on fire, my hair being ripped out by the roots. I landed with a heap on the floor, Zalgo standing over me. With nothing else to do, i spat in his face viciously. His eyes narrowed as he cracked his hand across my face. I felt my eyes glow red.
"I hate you. I always have and i always will." I snarled, blood dribbling down my chin.
"Oh please. Youve only known me for a few months." He snorted. I shook my head.
"I'm 18. I've been reading or listening to Creepypasta since i was 12. I've known you for 6 years actually." I replied. He rolled his eyes at me before turning to BEN.
"Get down from there. Get down so i can destroy you!" Zalgo yelled. BEN shook his head and grinned.
"I don't think i will. The view's nice from up here." He said, lying down. I grinned. BEN'S back to normal. Suddenly, Zalgo grabbed me and put his hand around my throat. I squeeked in surprise. BEN sat up furiously.
"It's you, or her." He hissed. I rolled my eyes at BEN.
"You won't hurt her. She's your daughter." BEN replied. I smiled. But my smile faded when Zalgo grabbed Jess, who had Link in her arms again. So where is Slender Man? And where is Clockwork?
"No! Not Link! Leave him alone!" BEN shouted. I darted forwards, only to stop after a few steps. Zalgo had his claws against Link's throat.
"Ok then. I hate this little brat already. You, or your son." Zalgo sneered. Link began to cry, heartbreaking sobs filled with fear. When i turned to BEN, he was already walking towards Zalgo, his legs shaky.
"No, wait! Kill me please! Don't hurt them!" I screamed, running forwards, desperate to save my family.
"Come one step closer, and i will kill them both. And Jeff too, just for good measure." He shouted, making me stop.
"You are such a dick Zalgo. Picking on a baby. Your sick." Grace spat, Toby nodding in agreement by her side. I was watching BEN though. He was smiling at me sadly. I smiled back. He was going to live. For Link. I knew what i had to do. Zalgo threw our son towards Jess, who caught him safely. He screamed, terrified and i winced, my heart hurting for my little boy. As Zalgo turned towards BEN, i darted forwards. Claws extended, Zalgo swiped at his target. But BEN wasn't hurt. I felt claws slash through my skin, ripping through my organs. I had pushed BEN out of the way. Zalgo looked at me, horrified, as i collapsed to the floor. I could hear static and screaming. The screaming was me.
"Midnight, you idiot! Stay awake baby. I love you. I love you so much." BEN said softly, tears filling his eyes, his arms wrapped around my body, keeping me safe. I smiled lovingly at him.
"Keep Link safe. Please... Keep safe. I love you." I whispered. My vision was going black around the edges. I could hear Link crying. Jeff was silent beside me. I didn't even know henwas there, holding my hand. Slender Man teleported into the clearing. He saw me and immediatly started trying to tend to my wounds. I pushed him away.
"There's no point is there? I'm going to die." I said harshly. Slendy looked down.
"Your organs are almost completely shredded. You probably have about 2 minutes left." He said gently. I nodded.
"Why? Why did you do that? I wasn't going to hurt you." Zalgo choked. I stared at him. He was kneeling on the floor, staring at the blood on his hands. My blood.
"It's what you do for the people you love." I whispered, my voice dim. Blood was seeping into my hair and around my body. I was slipping away. I would never hear Link say his first words, see him grow up. Maybe have kids of his own. I was never going to marry BEN.
"I need to ask you something. If i had asked you to marry me, what would you have said?" BEN asked softly.
"Of course i would marry you." I replied back happily. BEN smiled at me.
"I love you so much." He whispered.
"I love you too. I love all of the creepypastas. But i especcially loved you." I whispered, squeezing Jeff's hand. He smiled at me, but his eyes were sad. I looked up. The sky was blue and clear. The sun was shining on us as death began to claim me.
"Goodbye love." BEN said, his voice pained. But i didn't have the strength to reply.
Slowly, i began to close my eyes. Darkness swept over me and my eyes closed, never to open again. And i was happy.

The End.

So its over. But i could write a sequel about Link. I already have an idea for what i could do for it. I cried so much when writing Midnight's last scene.
