THE CHOSEN ONE (REUNION)

Reunion

A day before the feast, Zussorender, Ramsay, and Noah went to see Benjamin outside the palace and Benjamin asked them about Hawk. In that process, they also found out Hawk was Benjamin's uncle who Benjamin thought had died a long time ago, but Zussorender already knew about that. Benjamin pleads with them to let him meet Hawk and Zussorender disagreed for a reason known to him, but Ramsay and Noah promise Benjamin secretly that they will let Hawk meet him, even though Zussorender warned the royal princes not to.

The royal princes lied to Hawk that he needed to help them with something outside the palace in the city. Hawk didn't want to follow them but they plead with him and Hawk has no choice but to agreed to help them.

By night, Hawk went into the city with the royal princes to help them with what they said they needed help with but they took Hawk to an empty house and sneaky left him in the house. When Hawk could no longer see the royal princes in the house, he called out their names and was about to leave the house when he heard a voice call his name from behind.

Hawk looked back to see who called his name and saw a young man standing in the dark. Hawk asked the young man "who are you?".

The young man gave no response and came into the light, then Hawk could see the young man's face. Hawk was surprised and couldn't believe his eyes on seeing the young man's face and said to the young man "is that you Benjamin?".

"Yes, it is me uncle" said Benjamin to Hawk as water filled his eyes, with happiness.

"No this can't be you. This can't be possible" said Hawk (in disbelief) to Benjamin.

"It is me uncle, it truly me" said Benjamin to Hawk as he walked to Hawk.

Hawk holds Benjamin's hands as Benjamin got to him, to know if he is dreaming or hallucinating. Hawk realized Benjamin his real as he touch him and said with a smile to Benjamin "it is truly you, my little Benjamin", then they both hugged other as water filled their eyes.

Hawk and Benjamin sat down in the empty house talking. Hawk said with a smile Benjamin "It is good to see you are doing great and you have grown up to be a man".

"I miss you so much uncle and am happy to see you. I thought you died" said Benjamin to Hawk.

"I also thought I was going to die but the great King spared me and lock me up in the dungeon for 60 years till now that he thinks am useful," said Hawk.

"The dungeon must have been really hard on you" said Benjamin.

"It was at the beginning, but I later get used to it thanks to the rats which became my friends" said Hawk, and he and Benjamin smiled.

"Why did the great King release you exactly?" Benjamin asked Hawk.

"The great King needed to get to Lythridite quickly so he needed my help and made me a promise. I never thought I was going to see you again, so how have you been?" Hawk asked Benjamin.

"Have been great" said Benjamin.

"It must have been hard living, thinking you are the only survivor of our kind" said Hawk pitifully.

"Am not the only survivor of our kind and our kind was never eradicated" said Benjamin.

Hawk was surprised on hearing that and asked Benjamin "What do you mean by that?".

"After you lost the battle, Zussorader and Zussorender helped our kind to survive by creating an illusion which the soldiers killed thinking it was our people not knowing they were just an illusion. And the plan was able to be successful thanks to the great King not joining the soldiers" said Benjamin.
