In the heart of the forest, the air was damp and heavy with tension. Jane, Tarzan, and Prince Naveen moved silently among the green foliage, heading towards the shadowy Black Lagoon. The objective was clear: to rescue Red.
The lagoon stretched placidly before them, the sky veiled by dark clouds promising a storm. The lake's surface was eerily still, as if it were waiting for something. The forest around them was unusually silent, and Jane couldn't shake the feeling that they were walking into a trap.
"The last time I was here, it was late afternoon, so Morgana should be surfacing her lair soon," Naveen said, his voice full of an apparent calm that betrayed his growing concern.
Tarzan, for his part, nodded without a sound. His face was tense, ears alert to catch any sound, any sign that the forest was out of place. He knew time was against them, and that Red might not hold out long in Morgana's and her allies' clutches. Since the sea witch had taken over the Black Lagoon with her crew, Tarzan had forbidden any animals from approaching.
A few minutes later, the waters of the lagoon began to stir. A slight gurgling soon turned into a vortex, from which slowly emerged a foul, imposing, and dark carcass, Morgana's refuge. It resembled a sunken pirate ship, made of bones, rotting skin, and algae, chained to the abyss but with the power to resurface at will.
"It's time," Jane said, grabbing Tarzan's arm. "We need to be quick and quiet."
The three stealthily approached the fish carcass. Tarzan led them skillfully along the trunks and vines, making sure no sound betrayed their presence. Naveen, though unaccustomed to moving through the wilderness, followed with agility. When they finally reached the deck of the emerged refuge, they managed to enter through the hole Red had previously made.
Their plan was simple: infiltrate, find Red, and escape before Morgana and her crew noticed.
The fish's mouth opened, and Morgana emerged from the refuge, with no sign of her crew. Tarzan gave a signal, and the three plunged into the fish, sliding through the slimy, damp membrane, but a cold and sinister laugh echoed in the air.
"Look who we have here, new guests. Princess, it seems you won't be alone anymore," the voice belonged to Hook. From the darkness, the other crew members stepped forward: Maleficent, Hades, and finally Yzma.
"It would have been wise to wait a bit, Morgana has just left alone, don't you find it a bit strange? It was obvious she would never leave our refuge unattended," Maleficent said, with a cruel smile on her lips. "Though it's also true that sometimes I forget that intelligence is not for everyone."
As the three tried to escape, Yzma blew into a conch shell and an explosion of green smoke illuminated the room, and Morgana appeared in all her dark majesty. "I just left and already you need me?" she said, noticing the presence of the three. "Oh, we have visitors, Red, two brats and a savage," she hissed, enveloping Red in a wave of magical energy that tightened the ropes around her throat even more.
Tarzan gave a quick signal to Jane and Naveen. It was time. Before they could move, however, a column of blue flames erupted from the floor, blocking their escape route. "You're not going anywhere, the party has just begun," Hades sneered.
Tarzan clenched his fists, and with a deep breath, emitted a special call, a sound that vibrated in the air like distant thunder. For a moment, silence fell within that belly, and the crew members exchanged confused glances. Then, the sound of the forest responded.
From the forest emerged a group of gorillas, large, strong, and furious, crashing into the ship like an unstoppable wave. Hook and Yzma tried to fend them off, but the animals' strength was overwhelming. As the gorillas charged at the enemies, Maleficent and Morgana prepared to cast their spells.
"Naveen, now!" Jane shouted, as the gorillas created chaos. The prince did not hesitate: he grabbed an abandoned spear and charged at the throat that held Red captive, breaking the chains with a well-placed blow.
Red, free but still weak, clung to Jane to keep herself upright. "We need to go, now!" she said in a faint voice.
Meanwhile, Tarzan was facing Hook, blades ready to clash. The gorillas continued to fight the other crew members, while Jane and Naveen dragged Red out of the refuge.
With one final blow, Tarzan managed to disarm Hook, who retreated with a furious grin. "It's not over," the pirate threatened. Tarzan also joined the others outside the fetid refuge of the Black Lagoon, while the gorillas continued to fight the remaining crew members. Red, still weak, clung to Naveen, while Jane, breathless, tried to stay calm.
But their victory seemed fleeting.
From inside the refuge, a deep and sinister sound vibrated in the air. A cruel laugh, a promise of dark power. "Did you really think you could stop us so easily?" The voice was Maleficent's, but there was something different, something more menacing.
Suddenly, the ground trembled beneath the group, and Morgana's carcass began to disintegrate, crumbling as if giving way under immense pressure. From the remains emerged Maleficent and Morgana, but not in their usual forms. Their bodies were transforming.
Maleficent, with a piercing scream, transformed into a massive black and purple dragon, its scales glittering and its mouth ready to spew fire. Her wings beat furiously, lifting dust and smoke, and her eyes, pools of burning hatred, fixed on the group.
Not far away, Morgana, laughing hysterically, began to grow, her body elongating, her form distorting. Instead of legs, eight gigantic, black, and scaly tentacles emerged, like those of an octopus. The witch now towered in all her monstrous form.
"Now let's see who the real predator is in this forest!" Morgana roared, her tentacles cracking through the air and striking the ground with force, while the dragon-Maleficent emitted a threatening growl.
Tarzan, Jane, Red, and Naveen prepared for battle, but the forces were clearly unbalanced. Even the gorillas, though powerful, seemed tiny against the titanic creatures now facing them.
Jane looked at Naveen, her eyes firm and determined. "We only have one chance," she said, gripping the vine she held. "We need to split up and attack from multiple fronts. Tarzan and the gorillas will deal with Maleficent. I, Red, and Naveen... we'll need to find a way to stop Morgana."
Jane nodded, and Red, still weakened but determined, clenched her fists. "I won't let Morgana imprison me again," she said firmly.
Naveen, though frightened, raised the spear he had used to free Red. "Let's fight together," he said with a determined smile.
Maleficent advanced, spewing flames at Tarzan and his army of gorillas. Tarzan leapt from tree to tree, narrowly dodging the streams of fire that burned the forest around them. With a primordial roar, he called the gorillas to charge, and together they assaulted the dragon with everything they had. Tarzan courageously launched himself against one of the creature's wings, gripping tightly to the slick, shiny scales, trying to destabilize it.
Maleficent roared in pain and fury, beating her wings violently in an attempt to unseat Tarzan. But the jungle man, with his incredible strength and agility, held on, striking the dragon fiercely while the gorillas attacked from the ground, hurling rocks and breaking its hind legs.
Meanwhile, Jane, Red, and Naveen found themselves face-to-face with the enormous Morgana. Her tentacles waved menacingly, cracking through the air and crashing down on the group with destructive force. Jane, agile and quick, rolled to one side to avoid a blow, grabbing a vine and launching herself out of the reach of the tentacle crashing down on the ground.
"How do we stop her?" Red shouted, trying to dodge Morgana's deadly blows.
Naveen observed the creature carefully, noting a weak point: one of her magical shells glowed intensely at the center of the witch's chest. "We need to hit that pearl!" he shouted. "It's the source of her power!"
Red, though weakened, used her cunning and agility. With a determined look, she grabbed one of the spears left on the field and, with Jane's help, charged forward. Naveen, with his spear ready, did the same. The three moved in sync, dodging the tentacles and striking whenever they had the chance, trying to get closer to the pendant.
Morgana, furious, attacked them with all her might, but her rage made her less precise. When one of her tentacles struck too violently against the ground, it created an opening.
"Now!" Naveen shouted.
With a spectacular leap, Jane and Red surged forward. Red, with her spear ready, struck the pearl with all the force she had. An explosion of light erupted from the impact, making Morgana scream in pain.
The witch began to writhe, her tentacles losing strength and slowly wilting. The magic that sustained her was fading.
On the other side of the battlefield, Tarzan and the gorillas had finally overwhelmed Maleficent. With one final well-placed blow, the dragon fell
