apparently aimee had been a bit of a hit with the team from her two minutes in the changing room, so much so, that when isaac scheduled a games night with her and colin, a few of the others decided to join.

while a lot had expected video games (which they did too), the group had elected for board games. isaac loved to play cluedo, even though he wasn't very good. he was better at monopoly, somehow, and aimee could never figure out how he bought mayfair every game. it was like the monopoly god's had chosen him.

it pissed her off to no end when he beat her each time.

however, she always beat him at cluedo. so, they were even.

but this time there were more players. so, they played uno instead.

aimee and richard got into an argument, the man yelling at her in french, not expecting her to respond in french. she had put down a plus four card when he had yelled uno the round before. he was not happy with her.

overall, aimee was glad she'd moved to london to be near colin. and he was glad she was there. he'd never seen that many afc richmond players in one place that wasn't a club.

---

her being around colin continued when the coaches invited her to watch training. truth was they'd seen the player's reaction to her and heard how they discussed when they would see her again. they hoped that seeing her there would make them more receptive to ted.

"howdy aimee," he greeted.

she smiled, "hey ted. how's it going?"

he noticed the way her accent slipped in and out, certain words sounding a little american.

"can't complain... well actually i could but i won't."

she giggled loudly, the sound being heard across the pitch as they warmed up. none seemed as affected as roy, the man thinking it was the sweetest sound he'd ever heard and god did it annoy him. why was he thinking about aimee hughes in such a way? he'd met her once and he hadn't even really met her. he'd just caught a glance.

other than that she was just the woman he saw on his tv sometimes, the woman phoebe, his niece, was obsessed with.

"you can complain to me if you want. i grew up with one of them, i know what a dick he can be," she replied.

ted nodded, "you know anything about socc— football?"

she nodded in response, "used to play. you're looking at the under-14s player of the season, three years running. gave up though."

"why?"

"i turned fourteen and they shipped me to la to be on that disney show. then came the modelling and then the music. plus, i kind of hate the game now," she admitted, feeling almost like she could tell ted anything.
