Modern Day:

Abigail and Anthony were laid on a couch watching a movie in his upscale London apartment. Abigail's head was on his shoulder and her hand was in his. His arm was around her shoulder and her head was on hers.

she took a pause from watching the movie for a moment to look up at Anthony and then she spoke

"Ant?"

"Yes my love?" He question

"Do you think we are like this in every universe?"

He shot her a confused look

"Whatever do you mean love?"

"I mean, do you think we are soulmates in every life? Like if we were alive in say....say 1800's; do you think that we still would've found each other and fell in love?" she stared up at him like a child expectantly

"What a question...I believe, my darling that we were meant for each other in each lifetime and universe. Even if we met on a crowded street in 1944 or if we met in the 1800's, I don't believe our souls would be able to stay away from each other."

"That's a beautiful thought Anthony truly, that I am with you in every universe"

He smiled widely and went back to watching the movie and snuggled in with her.

She smiled back at him and laid her head back on his shoulder and drifted softly to sleep...

The 1800's:

Abigail was making her way to Aubrey Hall to see Anthony, he had not talked to or written her since he began courting Ms.Edwina Sharma. She busted through the door without stopping for a beat. She stomped her way out of the carriage, through the home, and into his study where she found him drowning in paper work.

"Bridgerton!"

"Abigail? What are you doin he-"

"What is your problem Anth- I'm sorry, viscount Bridgerton," she mocked and curtsied "You have not talked to me, let alone written me since you starting courting this Edwina Sharma girl! Hell,  had to find out you were even on the marriage mart this year from Lady Whistledown! I thought we were friends and now you blow me off at every turn and corner! What did I ever do to you?" she grew quite on the last part of her sentence as to combat the tears that threatened to fall from her face. "You were my best friend...I believe I deserve at least a little explanation as to what happened?"

Anthony stayed silent and just stared down at his papers.

"Please say something Anthony! Anything!" she begged

"Abigail I haven't the time for this discussion right now." he stated plainly

Abigail's anger took control of her "Make time Bridgerton!" she yelled sliding her arms across his desk knocking everything off of it. Papers were everywhere and ink was staining the floors.

Anthony stood up quickly from his desk. It was his turn to stomp over to her. he got directly in her face.

Refusing to waver this angry persona she had put on over her hurt and guilty one; Abigail stood her ground making their faces 3 inches apart. she did her best to analyze Anthony's face. For one she could not tell what his next move was. Then he began to speak,

"You want to know the reason I have not reached out?" He said through gritted teeth "It is because you have become the Bain of my entire existence...and the object of all my deepest desires"

Abigail's persona faded quickly as her eyes widened in shock

"Anthony I-"

He threw his hands up onto his face

"I could not bear to put you through the agony of being my Viscountess! I-" he started to stumble on his words as he tried to collect himself "My father...he died when he was merely thirty and eight years of age...he was a much better man than I, there is no chance that I shall be granted more time on this earth than him. The pain my mother felt when my father died...I could never put you through that Abigail, never. I am nine and twenty...that grants me only nine years...I could never do that-"

"Anthony, that is not true. Just because your father met an early fate does not mean you are doomed for the same"  she argued softly and grabbed both of his hands.

Anthony looked down at their hands.

"I tried to push you away so you would no longer wish to be near me and maybe if you wished not to be near me...I would not long for you to be...but every time I did I  found myself mourning your presence...maybe more than I had even before I pushed you away. It was as if my body- no, my soul was aching for you.

Anthony's breath was shallow as Abigail placed her forehead against his never letting go of his hands.

"Then let it ache no longer" she whispered and closed the gap between them.

Modern Day:

When Abigail awoke her heart was racing like it did the first time she kissed Anthony. She turned to her side and she saw him fast asleep with his arms still wrapped around her. she chuckled quietly and thought to herself,

"I guess he was right, we really are Timeless"

she cuddled deep into his chest and fell back asleep smiling like a lovesick teenage girl.
