Mandalay's panicked voice roars in your head telepathically, almost knocking you out of the sky.

Everyone! Two villains attacked us. It's possible there are more coming. Everyone return to camp immediately. We're regrouping. Do not engage any enemies.

Holy shit. You roar to life, speeding toward camp as fast as you can. How the hell did villains find you here? Not even the other teachers are supposed to know where the lodge is, let alone non-UA people.

You picture the students all scattered throughout the woods and your skin crawls. If this is a full scale attack, you're all fucked.

Scorching, black smoke erupts through the treeline and for a moment, you panic. Should you get back to the camp, like Mandalay said, or go to the woods where the students were playing their game? Aizawa and Vlad can protect the kids in the classroom, but with so many students spread throughout the forest, the Pussycats can't protect them all themselves.

You pivot and speed toward the game field. You are not losing any students today.

You carefully fly down beneath the treeline, where you find the air is full of heavy fog. What the hell? It only stings your nostrils, but it's thick and noxious and likely toxic to others. Luckily, your resistance holds out as you approach the clearing. Tiger and Mandalay are already facing off against some villains when you arrive. Iida, Midoryia, and a few other students are with them, but Pixie-Bob is unconscious and under the boot of a large villain. Ragdoll isn't in sight, so she must be in the woods with the others.

You run up beside Mandalay quickly. "Eraser Head and Vlad are with the other students back at camp. What's the plan?"

"Tiger and I will hold these villains off- Ragdoll will have to help the rest in the forest." She glances at the students. "You all get back to camp, now! Do not engage any enemies!"

"Mandalay, there's some sort of toxic gas in the forest. There's got to be students caught in it, but it doesn't seem to affect me. I'm going to go try to find students to bring out."

Mandalay considers your words for a minute before nodding. "Okay. You have a provisional license, so you can engage villains if necessary, but focus on search and rescue!"

You nod and hurry into the woods, staying on foot to better spot any lost students. Even though the gas isn't harming you, it makes it difficult to see as you venture further.

You spot two figures curled up on the ground and run to them. It's Komori and Rin from class 1-B. "Guys! Can you hear me?"

Rin doesn't answer but Komori groans, weaky raising her head. "Miss Luminescence? Is that you?"

You throw them both over your shoulders. "Hold on, I'm getting you out of here."

The students are gasping for air as you rush out of the gas. Strangely, it doesn't seem to be spreading so there's a clear border where the gas ends and fresh air begins. You set both of them down outside the gas carefully. "I have to go find the others," you tell Komori. "But I'll be back."

She nods to you faintly and you rush back in.

This will take far too long if you fetch each student separately. The gas has to be coming from somewhere, and likely someone. The border of gas implies it's not naturally occurring and likely being produced by a Quirk. If you can find and disable the villain producing it, you can save the students much faster than picking them up one by one, so you push forward into the gas.

It gets thicker and thicker as you approach the source, but a branch snapping nearby alerts you to someone's presence. You duck behind a tree, trying to catch a glimpse of the figure through the thick haze.
