Chad, Jeremy, Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear were still running back to Splash Mountain.
They were in the queue trying to beat Uncle Remus.
"We can beat Uncle Remus back if we go this way" said Jeremy.
"Hold on" said Chad. "How come we're not allowed to go to town, but we're allowed to leave the mountain?"
"Dat is kinda twisted" said Brer Rabbit.
"Either way, you two broke the rules. Now come along" said Jeremy.
Meanwhile, up on Chick-a-Pin Hill, Patty found Brer Fox packing a bag in his lair.
"Brer Fox, stop. You don't need to leave the mountain over me" said Patty.
"Don't work y'self up. It's laundry day" said Brer Fox.
"Oh. Well, that was slightly embarrassing" said Patty.
She handed Brer Fox the cushion he gave her. "You probably want this back."
"Slightly embarrassed is betta den humiliated" said Brer Fox. "Why's you even talkin ter me? I thot I was jes' a stupid wild animal."
Patty softened. "You know what? I should never have said that. I'm really sorry."
"Sis Patty... why don'tcha like me?"
"I do like you. A ton, but just as a friend."
Brer Fox looked down.
"Brer Fox, you're one of the best critters in this mountain" said Patty. "You're funny, and smart, and charming, and I've never seen anyone swing an ax faster."
"It's all in de wrist" said Brer Fox.
"And if I were a fox, there's no one I'd rather play fox checkers with" said Patty.
"Ya mean it?"
"Of course."
"Thanks, Sis Patty."
"You're welcome."
The two reconciled with a hug.
"So... ya think we can pr'ten dis neva happened an' go back ter bein' friends?" said Brer Fox.
"We sure can" said Patty.
