1. My dad requested this one, by asking if we could reenact the Bunk'd episode "where Jorge is wrapped up like a mummy." I agreed because I really like that episode.
2. Peter Noone and Chad & Jeremy actually did know each other. There are some pictures of them together. Peter even has a Facebook post with the two of them with a caption that promoted Jeremy's Bottom Drawer Session series.
3. As you may have guessed, I did wrap my Brer Bear stuffed animal in toilet paper. And when I was done using it, I just flushed it. My dad actually did his Brer Bear impression and said, "Did you just flush my costume"?
4. Burt's face looks redder than the others because I took a picture of him on my dad's TV, and didn't get it from Google images.
5. Brer Rabbit calls Herman 'the Henry the 8th guy'. This is an obvious reference to the Herman's Hermits song, "I'm Henry the Eighth I am."
6. This is Uncle Remus's first appearance since "Fish Filet".
7. Originally, Brer Fox was gonna call Patty's bluff saying he didn't hear any applause for her and Jeremy getting together. I thought that was the most generic thing ever, so my dad came up with the whole thing about seeing pictures of her on the ride. That's why Dad got a writer's credit for this.
8. Burt doesn't say any 'holy' phrases in this.
9. My dad insisted that I say Herman's lines because I do his voice better. But I needed to be trained to do his accent because Peter Noone is from Manchester, so his dialect is different from what I'm used to.
10. The story of Burt's divorce from Mississippi Mud Pie makes a return in here.
11. Burt makes a true statement in the beginning. He often says in interviews that he called his tights python pants. "I called them my python pants because they nearly strangled me to death" he'd say.
12. Patty Duke probably did think of playing Cathy Lane as a reward. She was the cousin she liked better because she was quiet and proper. Patty Lane embarrassed her, she admitted.
13. Peter Noone (Herman) is the only Hermit that actually appears in this, but the gang is aware of the others. Derek "Lek" Leckenby is mentioned after Uncle Remus asks Herman if there's anything new with the band.
14. This is the first time a character's name was in the title of any installment.
15. While this is the third time he was unmasked, this is only the second time since "Twisted Peppermint" where Burt doesn't wear the Robin costume at all. My best friend Ava inferred that he took it off because Neil Hamilton let him be himself in "Skunk Cabbage".
16. The title has Patty's name in it, but the food pun is barbecued burger patties.
17. True to Herman's appearance, the theme song is the Hermits' song There's a Kind of Hush.
18. This is the first time I've casted Peter Noone in any story since There's a Kind of Hush almost a year ago. And I gotta say, it was REALLY really hard to find the right picture of him. He's a good looking guy, but it's not always easy to find a picture where he looks legitimately handsome. Most of his pictures are just quirky.
19. Brer Bear's graphic novel character, King Tut Jones, is a combination of the ancient pharaoh King Tut and Indiana Jones.
20. My dad hated the picture of Herman we used. He was fine with his face, but he cringed hard at his outfit. But I used it anyway because I think it's a GREAT picture of him.
21. This is the first time a Magic Kingdom land other than Frontierland was seen, or even mentioned. Brer Fox takes Patty to Fantasyland for a "date".
22. My dad observed the way Jeremy talks. Particularly when he's smiling, Jeremy Clyde barely moves his jaw. It's how proper British lords talk. Chad Stuart is from the north of England so his jaw is flopping up and down when he talks. That's how my dad got his impressions of the two of them to sound different.
23. Brer Rabbit's line, "there's no rules in a secret mission", references a line in Fast Food where Brer Vulture says "there's no rules in a dropped your other knives knife fight."
24. Despite only one member appearing, Herman's Hermits is the third British Invasion band to appear on this series. Chad & Jeremy are main characters and Peter & Gordon appeared in Chili Dogs. The one thing these bands have in common is they were all good friends with the Beatles.
25. Burt should have interacted with Herman because another member of the Hermits, Barry Whitwam, LOVED the Batman comics. In a magazine, he said he loved the comics of Batman and put the words, "and his good friend Robin", in parentheses.
26. Vixey is the name of the female fox Tod falls for in The Fox and the Hound.
