YN had been on cloud nine for days now, mentally rehearsing how she might pop the question to Beyoncé. Every glance, every touch, every kiss made it harder for her to keep the secret tucked away. But even though she was sure about wanting to propose, she was still looking for the perfect moment to make it happen.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé had been wrapped up in preparations for her upcoming tour. The rehearsals were intense, and the schedule was demanding. Even though she and YN had managed to carve out time together, YN could sense the weight of everything on her shoulders. YN was used to it by now, understanding the rhythm of Beyoncé's life as an artist, but still, she wanted to make sure that when the moment came, it wouldn't feel rushed.
The next few days were a whirlwind of activity. Meetings, rehearsals, press—it was like a well-oiled machine, moving faster than YN had anticipated. And yet, in between the madness, Beyoncé always made time for YN. It was those small moments, like waking up together or sharing a late-night glass of wine, that made everything worth it.
One evening, after a particularly long day, Beyoncé came home utterly exhausted. She dropped her bag at the door and immediately flopped onto the couch. YN was in the kitchen preparing dinner, but when she saw Beyoncé sprawled out, she decided to join her instead.
"Tough day?" YN asked, sitting down next to her and gently massaging Beyoncé's shoulders.
Beyoncé groaned in response. "You have no idea. My feet feel like they've been run over by a truck. Twice."
YN chuckled, leaning in to kiss the side of her neck. "You work too hard."
Beyoncé tilted her head back and looked at YN with tired but loving eyes. "That's why I have you, to remind me when to slow down."
They sat in comfortable silence for a moment before YN spoke again. "I've been thinking... maybe we should get away. Just the two of us. Before your tour starts."
Beyoncé raised an eyebrow. "A getaway?"
"Yeah," YN said, warming up to the idea. "Something low-key. No work, no meetings, just you and me. What do you think?"
Beyoncé considered it for a moment, then smiled. "I think that sounds perfect. But where are we going?"
YN grinned. "Leave that to me. I'll plan everything."
A few days later, YN had everything set. She had found a secluded resort nestled in the California mountains, far enough from the city for peace but close enough for convenience. It was the perfect place to unplug and unwind—a cozy cabin with breathtaking views and just the right amount of luxury for Beyoncé's taste.
They packed light, both excited to escape the daily grind for a while. As they drove up the winding roads, Beyoncé couldn't help but feel giddy. She loved how YN was taking charge of this little getaway, and it reminded her of the early days of their relationship when everything was fresh and spontaneous.
When they arrived, Beyoncé was in awe. The cabin was beautiful—floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the valley, a fireplace in the corner, and a hot tub on the deck outside. It was intimate and romantic, exactly what they needed.
"YN, this is amazing," Beyoncé said, looking around with wide eyes.
YN smiled, watching her take it all in. "I thought you'd like it."
They spent the rest of the day relaxing, letting the tension of the past weeks melt away. YN had made sure to bring all of Beyoncé's favorite snacks and even a few bottles of her favorite wine. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the mountains, they sat together on the deck, sipping wine and watching the sky change colors.
"I'm so glad we did this," Beyoncé said, leaning her head on YN's shoulder. "I didn't realize how much I needed it."
YN kissed the top of her head. "Me too."
As the evening wore on, Beyoncé grew quiet, staring out at the horizon. YN could sense that she was deep in thought.
"Penny for your thoughts?" YN asked softly.
Beyoncé smiled but didn't look away from the view. "I've just been thinking about how far we've come. How much my life has changed since you came into it."
YN's heart skipped a beat. "Good changes, I hope."
"The best," Beyoncé said, finally turning to look at her. "You've given me something I didn't think I'd ever find again. Peace. Love. A second chance."
YN swallowed the lump forming in her throat. This was it—the perfect moment. Everything felt aligned, and YN knew it was now or never.
"I'm glad you feel that way because there's something I've been wanting to ask you," YN said, her voice steady but her heart racing.
Beyoncé raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
YN reached into her pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box. She opened it to reveal a simple yet stunning ring. Beyoncé gasped, her hand flying to her mouth in shock.
"Beyoncé, you're the love of my life. You've shown me what it means to truly be loved, and I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else. Will you marry me?"
Tears welled up in Beyoncé's eyes as she stared at YN, completely taken aback. She had never expected this, not so soon, but in her heart, she knew the answer.
"Yes," she whispered, then louder, "Yes! A thousand times yes!"
YN's heart soared as she slipped the ring onto Beyoncé's finger. They both stood, and YN pulled her into a tight embrace, their lips meeting in a deep, passionate kiss. The rest of the world fell away, and for that moment, it was just the two of them, standing on the edge of forever.
Later that night, after the excitement had settled, they lay in bed together, still wrapped in the bliss of their engagement. Beyoncé rested her head on YN's chest, tracing the lines of YN's tattoos with her fingers.
"I can't believe you did this," Beyoncé murmured. "You really surprised me."
YN chuckled, running her fingers through Beyoncé's curls. "I had to keep you on your toes."
Beyoncé smiled, lifting her head to look into YN's eyes. "You've changed my life, YN. And I can't wait to start this next chapter with you."
YN kissed her softly. "Me neither, baby. Me neither."
