In the dead of night, at an abandoned warehouse just outside of town, a figure moved silently in the shadows. Deep underground, hidden from the world, Karen stood in front of a steel door, a sick smile curling on her lips as she unlocked it. The metallic clank of the lock echoed in the silence, a prelude to the dark purpose behind the door.

Inside, chained to the wall, was a man—beaten but alive. His eyes narrowed in hatred as Karen approached, but he was too weak to fight back. The dim light from a single bulb cast eerie shadows on the walls, highlighting the suffering etched on his face.

"You should have stayed dead, Eric," Karen said, her voice a cruel whisper. A twisted laugh escaped her lips, a sound that seemed to revel in the malevolence of her actions.

Eric's voice was hoarse, but his defiance remained unbroken.

"You won't get away with this. Sarah will find me," he rasped, his eyes burning with a fierce determination.

"Oh, I'm counting on it," Karen replied with a malevolent grin.

"But first, I have a little mission of my own. Mike's not rotting in that cell forever. You're going to help me break him out, whether you like it or not."

She walked away, her footsteps echoing as the heavy door slammed shut behind her. The sound of her retreating footsteps faded into the distance, leaving Eric alone in the dark. The silence that followed was suffocating, filled with the promise of more chaos to come.

Eric's eyes adjusted to the darkness as he struggled against his chains.
