01 - Drive

I am currently waiting for a Jeep cos my dorm is a little far away from our Uni. The dorms near the university cost three times the amount than the one I am staying in right now.

It's a room that can only fit a single bed, a small table, and a small cabinet. This is the only place I can afford since no one supports me.

While waiting. There's a car that stops in front of me. The car window went down and I saw that the driver was a woman. I just look at her since I don't know who she is then she suddenly speaks.

She asks me about the direction of going to UST. I told her which way to go and she thanked me. I smiled and went back to waiting.

A few minutes and she still hadn't moved and that confused me that confusion quickly turned to panic when I saw that I only had 20 minutes left before my class started. I checked my wallet to see if my money was enough if ever, I took a cab and sadly, it wasn't.

I was checking my bag when I heard a voice asking me if I needed a lift. I looked at her and it was the woman who asked for the direction.

I told her it was okay and I'd just wait for the Jeep to come. She insisted and gave me her ID and told me that she was not a bad person. She said it was a thank you for giving her the directions.

I told her it was fine. She then asked me where I was going. I told her the same as where she would go. She smiled and told me to get in so I wouldn't be late.

I looked at my watch and saw that I only had 15 minutes. So, I agree. She asked me to guide her on our way cos she had already forgotten some of the instructions I gave her. I smiled and told her the direction. 

The drive was silent except for me giving her the directions. After 10 minutes of driving, we arrived at the Uni. I told her I needed to go first since I'd be late if I waited for her to park. She smiled and thanked me again.

I removed my seatbelt and went out. When I was about to close the door, I heard her say something but I didn't have the time to ask her cos I was already late. I just wave at her and run towards my class.

My morning class ended and I am now on my way to my first part-time job. It was only a five-minute walk from my Uni. I work 3 part-time jobs as a cashier at a milk tea shop, a Barista at a local cafe, and also a bartender at a club to support myself.

I am currently behind on my rent and also big on debt due to my sister's sudden death. She was able to survive the crash. She was hospitalized for almost a week.

Lots of procedures were done including head surgery and that's the reason why I was drowning in debt. I was able to take a loan from a bank and that's what I am paying monthly.

After my shift at the milk tea shop, I went to attend my last class for the day and I went home first to wash up and take a rest. Because of exhaustion, I fell asleep and I just woke up because of the ringing of my phone.
