26 - The Truth

Neko

Earlier when I was still at Yoko's house. I was watching with Cy while waiting for Yoko to finish cooking. I got bored watching so I stood up and looked for the decorations of the house. While looking at the pictures on the cabinet. I saw an old camera inside a crystal glass.

I heard footsteps coming and I saw Yoko coming from the kitchen. I asked her who's camera was inside the glass case and she said it was her sister. I compliment her cos she was able to keep her sister's camera in good shape for years.

She also told me that her sister was the one who inspired her to be a photographer. I smiled thinking her sister was lucky to have Yoko. After telling a short story about her sister she excused herself and went back to the kitchen.

I continued admiring the photos on the cabinet and I saw an album and there I saw a photo of me and Yoko. I think it was taken six or seven years ago. I immediately put the album back to where it was placed.

I went to the kitchen to see Yoko; she must've felt like I was thinking about something that's why she asked me if I was okay. I told her I was okay and she asked me to fetch Cy so we could have our dinner since she already finished cooking.

I was confused as to how could that happen. Lots of questions are running through my mind. Some of them are am I the sister she's referring to? Is that why she hugged me and told me I was her sister the first time she saw me?

I want to ask her but I am afraid. I just met her and I became very fond of her and Cy, I don't want to ruin what we have cos I am happy and comfortable when I am around her so I choose to shut my mouth for now and just ask her about this next time.

After eating I told her I'd drive her to her parent's house since her wife was still at work. She agreed and told me she'd just change her clothes so we could go. I thought she was orphaned. I wanted to ask her about it but I don't think it was my place to ask her about it.

When we arrive at her parents' house. When her parents saw me. They come up to me and hug me. I was startled at it since I don't know them so not to be rude, I just hug them back. Yoko explained to them that I was the photographer and that she'd do the collaboration for the company's new clothing brand.

After that Yoko and her parents went somewhere Cy came up to me and lay her head on my lap. I was playing with her hair and minutes later she fell asleep. Yoko and her parents came back and saw Cy sleeping on my lap.

She immediately calls Faye to ask where she is cos Cy has already fallen asleep. A moment later the door opened and I saw Faye walking in. Faye is a Goddess. Her beauty is out of this world. I saw her once when I went to Thailand. We went to the same restaurant.

Ever since I have admired her for her dedication to her work, friends, and family. I was shocked when I received an offer from her company to become one of the photographers just a few weeks after I went back here to the Philippines.

She excused herself and picked Cy who was sleeping on my lap. She and Yoko went to the room. It took them at least an hour there so I just talked to Yoko's parents about work and other things. When the couple came back. Yoko told her parents that we should go since it was already getting late.
