27 - The Deal

Yoko

Faye brought me to Canada. Appa told her that his friend's daughter there who works in the government helped us with the information we needed. We called the number as soon as we landed in Canada and we meet up in a Café.

A tall blonde girl came in and sat in front of us. We asked her if she was the one Appa referring to and she said she was. We introduced ourselves and she said her name was Orm. We exchange pleasantries and order something to drink.

While enjoying our drink she pulls up an envelope inside her bag and put it on the table. She told Faye to open up and all the things she wanted to know were there. Faye smiled and complimented her fast work but she said that things are easy cos she specialized in computers so it only took her half an hour.

Orm and I talked about the place and other things while Faye read the documents. You may think that when you look from the outside since we are a couple of friends who meet up after a very long time while the other needs to work. Haha.

Faye finished reading and explained to me that all of this is still my uncle's doing. I am angry cos I felt alone and lonely and also suffered a lot when my sister died. And now all of that was caused by the person who also kidnapped my mom and daughter and the reason why my wife was hospitalized.

Faye held my hand to calm me down. I told her how am I supposed to calm down when I once lost my family because of him. Faye said to think on the bright side. My family is complete. Neko, my parents, Cy, and her are all safe. I smiled and just nodded.

Orm told us that my uncle supported Neko since she got here and gave Neko everything she needed from school needs and allowance. I smiled knowing that he still loved his family. Money just really consumed him that made him evil.

After our talk. Orm bid her goodbye and told her we'll transfer the payment as soon as possible. But she told us no need for that since. Appa is her godfather and she owes him a lot. Faye told her to just accept whatever would come and she just nodded.

Faye and I went to the mall to look for something that we could give Orm as a thank you. While walking I saw a store that sells watches. I ask Faye if we can just give her a watch. Faye nodded and we bought a watch for Orm. We asked the store to deliver it since we have a flight to catch later. They agreed and we left.

After we had our lunch, we went to the airport cos we were planning to come back home. Our flight was smooth but tiring so when we arrived, we went straight home after our twelve-hour flight. We were so tired so we went straight to bed.

The next day Faye takes me to my company to meet Neko. She wants to come with me but there's an emergency that is happening at the company so she needs to go there. I told her it will be alright and I can handle this. She kissed me and I went to my office.

Half past ten and my secretary knocked and told me the Neko was here to see me. I told her to let Neko in and cancel my appointments for the whole day. She nodded and went out. Neko went up to me and she immediately hugged me. I was caught off guard cos I didn't expect that.

She was sobbing so I thought something bad happened. I led her to the couch and let her cry. I told her that everything would be good. She looks at me and apologizes. I asked her why is she apologizing she said because she didn't remember me. She forgot about her sister.
