18 - Stressed

I woke up without Yoko by my side and I immediately went to the bathroom to see if she was there I was right she was in the tub soaking. I walked up to her and saw that her eyes were closed. I sat on the edge of the tub and caressed her face. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled.

I asked her how long was she awake and she said about 15 minutes. I told her we should take a bath so we could go downstairs and have breakfast. She nodded and stood up. I wash Yoko up before I wash myself. I can tell that Yoko cried again since her eyes were puffy.

After taking a bath. We went downstairs and ate our breakfast. We asked the maids where Uncle is but they said. Uncle went out last night and hasn't come back since. I thanked the maid and continued eating. I'll just call Uncle later.

After eating. Yoko went back to the room where we slept last night telling me that she wanted to just lie down. I nodded and decided to call Uncle but he was not answering. I just sent him a message regarding my mother-in-law and daughter and also where he is.

After I sent the message, I called my general uncle to ask for some updates. He told me that they had a lead on where Yoko's uncle might be hiding. I asked him if I could come with him and he said no. I asked him why and he said there are a lot of crooks that include in this case. I told him I wanted to go but he firmly said no and just watched over my wife and father-in-law. I just agreed and ended the call.

I went inside the room and I saw my wife crying while watching something on her phone. I went beside her and saw that she was watching one of Cy's videos. The one where she's performing at her school. I hugged my wife tightly and told her everything would be alright.

Yoko asked me if there was any update and I told her that my uncle still hadn't answered my calls and the uncle general told me that they now have a lead on where her uncle might be hiding. She just nodded and continued watching videos of Cytheria.

I just held onto Yoko while we watched the clips of our daughter. Moments later I felt that Yoko had fallen asleep so I just lay her in bed. I watch her sleeping cos I know she doesn't want to be alone when she's sad. And also, last night I know she had a bad dream about our daughter. So, now I just want to be with her in case that happens again.

I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep too and had just awoken by the sound of my phone ringing. I immediately answered the call without looking at the caller. I was shocked to hear the voice of my daughter. I looked at Yoko who was still fast asleep and I went outside immediately.

I asked my daughter if she was okay and she said she and her grandma were okay. I want to ask her again but a guy suddenly speaks. If you want your daughter and your mother-in-law alive. Give me 500 million. I agreed to what he said and asked when and where should we meet so I could give him his money. He told me he'd send me the details later and to never contact the police or else the life of the two would be in grave danger. I told him that there won't be police involved in this and he ended the call.

I immediately told my secretary to call the bank telling them that I'd be withdrawing 500 million on my account. She asked me why but I told her it's none of her business and just do what I asked her to do. She apologized and I ended the call.
