**Chapter 1: The Summoning of the Gacha Hero**
In the grand chamber of the Celestial Throne, a faint light flickered in the air, swirling as if trying to break through the fabric of space itself. High Priest Malakar, a tall, imposing figure draped in silver and crimson robes, raised his hands toward the light, chanting incantations from a long-forgotten tongue. Around him, members of the Celestial Council whispered in awe, their voices drowned by the hum of arcane power filling the room.
This was it—the moment the kingdom had awaited for centuries. A hero was about to be summoned from another world to save them from the approaching darkness. According to ancient prophecies, only a hero from beyond the Veil could wield the power to vanquish the Abyssal Lord, whose armies of shadow creatures had ravaged the land.
The light burst into a sphere of radiant energy, illuminating the entire chamber. Malakar’s eyes gleamed. The ritual was succeeding. The long-forgotten spell had been cast perfectly. A figure began to take shape within the light.
From the swirling vortex, a young man stumbled forward. He blinked, dazed and confused, rubbing his eyes as he looked around. His clothes—a simple hoodie, jeans, and sneakers—looked completely out of place in the grand chamber, and yet, he was the chosen one. Or at least, he should have been.
His name was Yuuji. An ordinary college student who, moments before, had been playing his favorite mobile game—a gacha fantasy RPG—on his phone. Now, here he was, standing in front of a group of regal-looking figures who stared at him as if he were some kind of savior.
Yuuji looked around, his heart pounding in confusion and disbelief. “W-Where am I? What just happened?”
Malakar stepped forward, his face stern and dignified. “You have been summoned, Hero. You are now in the world of Eldoria. Our kingdom is in peril, and we beseech your aid to save us from the Abyssal Lord.”
Yuuji’s mind raced. *Eldoria? Abyssal Lord? What the hell is going on?* He had heard of isekai before—where characters get transported to a fantasy world—but this was way too real. His thoughts spiraled as he tried to process everything at once.
“Wait,” Yuuji said, holding up his hand, “You mean I’m in some kind of fantasy world? Like in those light novels?”
A murmur spread among the council members. Some nodded knowingly, while others looked puzzled.
Malakar’s brows furrowed. “I do not know of these ‘light novels,’ but yes, Hero, you are in a different world. You have been brought here to save us.”
Yuuji couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Just moments ago, he had been doing ten-pulls on his favorite gacha game, hoping to get a rare character. Now, it felt like he had been *pulled* into the game itself. But this wasn’t his world, and he certainly wasn’t a legendary hero. He was just… Yuuji.
“Wait, wait, wait…” he muttered, staring at his hands. “There’s gotta be some kind of mistake. I don’t have any powers or anything. I’m just a normal guy!”
Malakar remained calm, though his eyes glimmered with uncertainty. “You may feel ordinary, but the prophecy speaks of a hero with great potential. We will help you unlock the power that lies within.”
Yuuji’s skepticism was clear, but before he could protest further, a soft chime echoed from his pocket. He froze, slowly reaching for his phone. The screen was still on, showing the familiar interface of his gacha game. His jaw dropped. The game had *followed* him here. The vibrant fantasy background of the game now matched the world around him, and in the center of the screen, a single notification blinked: **“New Summon Available.”**
“Wait… What? I can still play this game here?” Yuuji whispered to himself.
The council watched him closely, unsure of what he was doing.
With trembling fingers, Yuuji clicked the summon button, and a bright animation played on his screen. The familiar spinning gacha wheel filled with rare items and characters spun before his eyes. And then, in a flash of gold light, a figure appeared on his phone screen—a powerful knight, clad in shining armor, wielding a sword engulfed in flames. The screen flashed again, and suddenly, the knight *materialized* in the room beside Yuuji.
Everyone gasped, including Yuuji himself.
The knight kneeled before Yuuji, his flaming sword resting on the floor. “I have been summoned, Master. How may I serve you?”
Yuuji’s brain short-circuited. “Wha… What just happened? Did I… summon him from the game?”
Malakar’s eyes widened in awe. “The hero possesses the power of summoning! A gift from the gods!”
Yuuji stared at the knight, then at his phone. He couldn’t believe it. Somehow, his gacha pulls in the game were manifesting in real life. He was a summoner in this world. And with each pull, he could summon powerful allies to aid him in battle.
But the realization came with a cold chill. This wasn’t a game anymore. The Abyssal Lord was real, and the fate of an entire kingdom now rested in his hands.
As he stood in the glowing chamber, surrounded by council members and the knight he had just summoned, Yuuji couldn’t help but mutter to himself: “I was just trying to get a rare character, not become one…”
The journey had only just begun.
