CHAPTER EIGHT

DARYLL'S POV

Troy and I were drinking when Charles suddenly arrived at the bar. When I saw his face I remembered how he betrayed me.

"Are you really gonna spend the rest of your life doing sh*t?! When are you going to man up huh?!". He shouted at me.

"Woah! woah! look who's talking! If betraying your friend is being a man I'd rather not be". I said while smirking.

"You are just being fed up with the fact that I knew about your child first than you do. But if you would open your mind you should understand that Isabelle did that for your son". He said. He was right, I am only being like this because I envy him for being with Isabelle and my son instead of me. But deep in my heart I want to be with them and I love them both, I don't want them to leave.
"Aidan is a smart Kid and all he ever wanted was to meet you, but you failed him and if not for Aidan, I don't think Isabelle would even bother to see you". He continued. He has a point though..wtf!!.
"You already lost them once Daryll and you had a chance to get them back, but the second time you let them go. Just so you know, Isabelle is already considering migrating into the states, so if you don't get your sh*t together you will lose them forever". I lost my drunkenness at the last thing he said.

"What?!! they're leaving?!! wtf! no!!". I shouted and stood up. "Where are they? where can I find them now? tell me Charles". I asked and he gave me the address of Isabelle and my son's home in Busan. I immediately left Charles and Troy at the bar and went to the Busan.

"Im so sorry Isabelle. I'm coming to have both of you back, please don't leave". I said to myself while I was driving.

ISABELLE'S POV

I put Ian to bed and lay beside him to rest. Hindi ko maiwasan na maisip kung ano magiging reaction nya kapag nalaman nya na aalis na kami ng Korea. Matalino syang bata, alam ko na kapag nalaman nya na aalis kami ibig sabihin non mapapalayo sya sa Daddy nya.
To be honest, I'm still having second thoughts because I don't want to break Aidan's heart. But when I think of how Daryll reacted with the truth I realized that maybe he is not yet ready to be a father to Aidan. Siguro ito na yung panahon na kami na lang talaga ni Aidan ang magkasama habang buhay.

I was about to sleep when I heard someone knocking on the door downstairs.

"Huh?! It's almost midnight, who could that be?". I asked myself and I got up in bed to see who it was and to my surprise....

"Daryll!? what are you doing here at this hour??". I asked and was shocked when I saw him in front of my house. He did not answer me, he stared at me for a few seconds then he hugged me tightly.

"Isabelle! I'm glad that you're still here. Where is Aidan? Can I see him?". He said while hugging me and I smell him like alcohol.

"Daryll what are you doing? you smell like alcohol, are you drunk?". Sabi ko at unti- unting lumayo sa kanya na naging dahilan para mawala ang pagkakayakap sakin.

"Im not drunk Isabelle. I had a few drinks with Troy but I am totally in the right mind now. I came here to fix things Isabelle. Please??". He said while he held my hands.

"Daryll? are you playing with our lives? If you aren't sure of what you want to do with your life please stop fooling with us especially with Aidan". I said and removed my hand from his grip.

"I'm not fooling around Isabelle. I realized that I was just mad because, Charles was with you and Aidan instead of me. But I really want to be with you and my son, please Isabelle". He said. "Let's be a family Isabelle. I'm serious, I want to start a family with you. Kaya kong iwan ang lahat even in my career, if that's what you're worried about". He continued. "Just let me be with you and Aidan. I want you both back, I'm so sorry for acting like sh*t. I regret Isabelle". He said and I felt sincerity. I feel that he really wants to be with us, so I gave him a chance to prove himself as a father to Aidan. Alam ko rin na magiging masaya si Aidan na kasama sya.

"Sige pero mangako ka sakin na hindi mo na ulit kami sasaktan". Sabi ko na naging dahilan ng pag-ngiti nya.

"Thank you Isabelle. I won't fail this time I promise". He said and hugged me again. This time I hugged him back.

"Just don't break Aidan's heart Daryll. I just want him to be happy". I said and let go to our hugs.

"I won't Isabelle, I promise and I understand if you're still hesitant about the two of us, but I will wait for Isabelle". He said and smiled at me. I let Daryll into my house.

"It's almost dawn Daryll you should stay here until morning. It's not safe to drive back at this hour". I said while i gave him a glass of water.

"Thank you Isabelle, ahmm can I see Aidan? I won't wake him up, I promise". He said. I just nod and accompanied him to our bedroom where Aidan is sleeping. He slowly went too close to Aidan while his eyes were teary eyed and fixed at Aidan.

"I'm here Aidan, nandito na si Daddy. I'll make up for those times that we lost, I promise. I'll do my best as your Daddy. I love you my son". He said as he gently rubbed Aidan's hair and kissed his forehead. I watched them the whole time and I got teary eyed when I heard those words from Daryll. I knew that Aidan would be very happy to see his Dad.

DARYLL'S POV

I stared at Aidan for a few minutes and watched him sleep. I suddenly burst into tears out of happiness because, finally I'm with Isabelle and Aidan.

While I'm in the room next to Isabelle's room, Troy messaged our group chat.

["Daryll, are you with your family now?. Did you get there safe"]. His messaged.

"Yes bro, I'm here. Hmm thank you Charles, I owe you". I replied.

["That's fine bro, and sorry for keeping the truth from you. Just don't break their heart this time bro"]. Charles replied.

"I won't, I'll make things right this time". I replied.

["That's good to know bro, we're happy for you"]. Troy replied. I didn't reply to them and I slept happily.

I slept in the room next to Aidan and Isabelle. I woke up and thought of Aidan right away. Isabelle went to my room to ask me to have breakfast.

"Ahmm Isabelle, where is Aidan? is he awake?". I asked.

"Yes, he's playing outside. I didn't tell him yet that you're here because I wanted to surprise him". She said.

"Oh really?". My eyes brightened as I stood up and went outside to see Aidan.

"Daddy??!!". Aidan shouted behind me.
