Chapter Six

Prisoner Cages

I wake up from a harsh bump, we are being driven somewhere. I look around and notice we are in these giant metal like ball cages. I look down at my hands which are chained together. I look up to find Deadpool and Wolverine standing up, also chained together. Logan and I make eye contact, he rolls his eyes at me in annoyance at the situation he's currently in. I'd feel the same if I woke up chained to Wade. I look over to my right to find Johnny Storm sitting next to me, his hands, also chained. We stare unsure of what to say, when Johnny finally decides to speak up,

"So, Y/n, what's your story?" He squints at me as the sun shines into his eyes.

I think for a moment, why would I tell this guy anything about me? He doesn't know me, I don't know him... fuck it.

"Well, there's not much to tell. I live with Wade in New York-" I get cut off by Logan.

"You live with this lunatic? God, I'm sorry that's unfortunate..." He trails off, but then adds,

"Unless he's your boyfriend, but even then, I'm especially sorry." Logan shakes his head and chuckles a little bit.

I look at him, completely taken off guard,

"Me and Wade?!"

My eyes go wide, I shiver at the thought.

"Absolutely not, nope, never. He's my best friend."

I laugh and continue,

"No, Wade took me in after I lost everything." I look down at the floor of the cage.

I feel the guys stare at me. Logan takes a breath to speak but is stopped by the sudden jolt of Deadpool coming too.

"...God of Thunder." he says as he jars himself awake.

"How long was I asleep?" he says looking around at us, noticing that we are all conscious.

Logan, slightly irritated, "Not all of you was asleep."

Wade starts moving and fidgeting, but Johnny jumps in saying,

"Don't bother. They're very thorough".

Logan looks down at Johnny,

"If you know where we are, start talking". He demands.

Johnny shifts his gaze to Logan, still squinting to see, he explains,

"You're in The Void. Think of it as purgatory. Reed called it a metaphysical junkyard where anything useless goes before it gets annihilated forever and where the TVA sends people that don't play nice with the rest of the Multiverse."

Logan cuts him off, " Like you?"

"And you." Johnny fires back.

I look over at Johnny and ask a question I probably don't want to hear the answer to,

"What does the annihilating?"

"Alioth." Johnny says looking over to me.

Deadpool raises his eyebrows in utter shock, "Alioth is in this thing? From Loki, season one, episode five?!"

Y: Loki season what? episode what? What the fuck does that even mean?

Johnny continues to explain,

"Everyone here is on the run from Alioth. Most don't make it. There's a Resistance though. Other people like us that manage to survive, they're hiding out in the border lands trying to find a way the fuck outta here."

Wolverine, happy to finally have an answer says, "Then that's where we go."
