Two days after Wonwoo's visit, Mingyu received a call from the school board asking about the possibility of doing presentations at the local schools to teach the students about guide and service wolves. He readily agreed to meet with them to discuss the idea of sharing his work with his wolves with the children.

He felt that he needed to do something to thank Wonwoo for suggesting the idea and setting it in motion. At that thought, he went to his computer and pulled up the program that would allow him to emboss words in Braille. He typed up a thank you letter and sent it to his embosser, sealing it in a protective envelope before grabbing his keys and heading to the flower shop down the street.

As he walked into the quaint flower shop, the smell of earth and fragrant flowers wafted into his nose. The counter was manned by an elderly woman who looked every inch the grandmother with her neat blue cardigan and perfect silver cap of hair.

"How can I help you dear?" She asked in her wavering voice, gesturing him closer with wrinkled hands that looked stiff with age.

"I'm looking for something. Well..." Mingyu wasn't sure exactly what he wanted.

"Something special for a special someone?" She suggested with a smile in her voice.

"Yeah. Something like that, but he's blind. I was wondering if you had something that might be better for scent and touch, rather than just looks?"

She seemed to light up at the idea of a challenge, hobbling around the counter and taking his hand in her gnarled old ones, patting it gently.

"I'm sure we'll find just the flowers for your special man. How about some damask roses? Very strong fragrance, velvety petals...I think it will be just the thing."

She guided him over to one of the cases, taking out a large bouquet of baby pink flowers whose petals ruffled like the layers of a flouncy skirt. She offered it to him to smell and touch. He thought the flowers were pretty, but the scent was also lovely and the petals felt like soft velvet. They were perfect. He smiled as he looked at the old woman with approval, nodding his head. She smiled with delight as he set up the delivery for the following day and gave her the letter to go along with them.

The alpha returned home with flutters of anxiety in his stomach. Had he just made a mistake? He'd worded the letter to be a simple thank you, but he hoped Wonwoo wouldn't think he was overstepping. He wondered for the hundredth time since he'd had the idea that if sending flowers to a blind person was rude, but hopefully, Wonwoo would understand his intent. It's what he would have done for anyone. Wonwoo's blindness didn't exclude him from enjoying normal things like getting flowers.

All his thoughts over the last two days had been centered around the omega, wondering what he was doing as he lay in bed at night staring up at his ceiling. Thinking he was probably asleep since he had to rise early for school. Mingyu never slept for long periods of time. It was something left over from his military days. He could sleep a total of about four hours maximum.

Piper was also still being sulky. He would make several rounds each day, laying in front of the door with his head on his paws, waiting for a while before finally returning to his kennel. The alpha could relate. He was waiting for the omega to come for his training, wanting to be near him again. The first time hadn't lasted nearly long enough.

Wonwoo turned from his place at the front of the class when he heard his door open.

"Mr. Jeon, there is a flower delivery man here for you. Where would you like them? On your desk?"

Wonwoo was frozen for a moment, wondering if he'd heard right. Flowers? For him? No one had ever sent him flowers before. Most people just assumed that sending flowers to a blind man was a waste. Privately, he'd always wished for it deep down in his heart, in the place where he stored all his foolish and secret desires.
