Wonwoo couldn't stop touching Mingyu. There was something so reassuring about feeling him there under his hand, not just hearing him or catching his scent, but actual physical touch. It was so grounding to have him there. To feel his warmth and vitality and know that he was present beside him. It was a loss as the alpha left him on the porch swing to do his daily training with his wolves. He listened, but he still wanted him beside him. He knew that his inner omega was fully bonded to him now. There was no going back anymore. Mingyu was the alpha for him and no one could change that.
He'd woken up with the alpha's scent still on his skin and as he woke, he wanted to reach for him and pull him close. It was like a sliver of ice in his heart, and he realized at that moment what he wanted. He wanted his alpha with him, to wake up next to him and go to bed with him. He wanted Mingyu to make love to him. The deep longing in him had finally confirmed within his own mind and heart that he was ready to give the alpha everything. Mingyu had not forced him to do anything he didn't want to; in fact, he had been hurting himself to try and make sure that Wonwoo was comfortable.
This realization and the fact that it provoked no fear in him was further confirmation that it was right. Mingyu was the one for him and he wanted to rush to him, to tell him about his resolution, but he refrained. He just rolled over and wrapped his arms around Piper, hugging him and letting out a little sound of happiness against his fur as he wiggled excitedly. He was in love. Real, honest-to-good love that filled his heart with fluttery happiness and burst from the inside with so much feeling he couldn't contain it within his body. His wolf just made a little 'harrumph' sound and turned his snout to lick Wonwoo's ear, since his face was buried in the wolf's fur. He'd jumped out of bed and thrown on clothes, anxious to be near his alpha.
Wonwoo sipped his coffee and scratched Piper with the other hand, listening to Mingyu's voice distantly as his mind began to wander. He was so caught up in his own thoughts and feelings that he was startled and jumped when Mingyu put a hand on his shoulder, almost making him drop his coffee. He managed to steady himself and pressed the hand that had been petting Piper over his racing heart.
"Oh my god, you scared me!" Wonwoo said with a laugh.
"Sorry! Sorry, you usually hear me coming so I just assumed you did."
Mingyu leaned down and pressed a kiss to his lips that made his cheeks flush and brought a smile to his mouth. He loved the way his alpha kissed him, so adoringly. He was still riding the high of his morning realization and was the first to open and slide his tongue forward. He was immediately granted access to Mingyus's mouth and he moaned into the kiss as he felt his body react, tingling awareness blooming over his skin. The alpha pulled back and pressed a kiss to his forehead. He could hear his breathing was ragged. He was being mean by teasing him, he realized. Mingyu must be still struggling to contain his alpha instincts, so he changed the subject.
"What's the plan for today?" Wonwoo asked.
"I thought we could go buy the supplies you will need to care for Piper at home."
"Okay."
Wonwoo didn't want to admit that this place felt like home now. He didn't want to go back to his silent little house with its perfectly organized shelves and lonely, oppressive quiet. The thought of the quiet nights, not hearing the wolves, or the distant sound of feet running on a treadmill filled him with sadness. He pushed those feelings aside and stood, letting Mingyu guide him inside.
As he sat on the edge of his bed, holding his socks and shoes he heard Piper move to stand between his legs before a wet tongue licked up the side of his face. The wolf must be able to sense his sadness and was trying to make him feel better. He giggled as the licks continued and a cold nose was pressing at him, sniffing him and whining until he dropped his footwear and used both hands to push him away.
