Wonwoo was dying to tell Kihyun about his pregnancy, but he and Mingyu decided to tell all their friends at once. They planned a dinner, renting out a room at Hoseok's restaurant, and inviting the proprietor and his mate to come along. They were excited to share their news, and Kihyun, who knew something was up as soon as Wonwoo invited them, tried to weasel the information out of him, but he wouldn't budge. Even though his friend used the "I'm pregnant" card, Wonwoo wouldn't give in to him, as much as he wanted to say "Me too". He wanted it to be a surprise.
Mingyu took Wonwoo shopping for a nice outfit, since his other one was ruined, and the omega had let his mate choose what he thought looked good. The outfit felt similar to the one Kihyun had picked for him. Skinny jeans and a top that felt silky to the touch. Wonwoo didn't really care all that much about his appearance, but it did feel good to wear things that his alpha had chosen for him. He also got his hair cut as it was getting too long to be practical for someone who couldn't see to fix it. As he dressed for the dinner, he was happy. Especially as he pulled on the jeans that hung low on his hips. Normally, he didn't like hip-hugger-type pants, as they had a hard time covering his bubble butt, but they were the best option at the moment. He didn't like the feeling of being squeezed at all on his lower belly. Over the last couple of weeks, he'd gotten the teeny-tiniest little paunch but he wasn't quite big enough for maternity jeans yet, and the low-cut style hit him under his little swell.
Mingyu was wearing his best outfit, which meant jeans, a button up, and boots. But as he watched Wonwoo pull on the low-cut jeans that almost emphasized the itty bitty puffiness at the bottom of his tummy that was concealed by the loose, silky black shirt with hearts all over it, he knew it didn't matter; there was no way that anyone would be looking at him anyway. Wonwoo was glowing, bright as the moon on a dark night, and his slightly messy waves of blond hair and bare face were far lovelier than he could express. Maybe he was biased because he was his mate, and pregnant with his child, but to Mingyu, no one could ever be prettier than his little pearl with his moon-bright eyes and delicate allure. Even the night when Kihyun had fixed his makeup and hair and Wonwoo had been so beautiful...even that didn't compare to him tonight.
They arrived at the restaurant first except Hoseok and Minhyuk, who were happy to see them, the last time being at their mating ceremony. They greeted them and led them into the parlor that they used for special events and party rentals. They exchanged greetings and talked as their guests arrived. Kihyun and Hyunwoo, Jeonghan and his mate Hyungwon, Seungcheol and his mate Eunha, and Seokmin who was a stag, but who the couples all thought was flirting with their waiter, Soonyoung. They spent the first half hour teasing Seokmin over his obvious little crush, which the alpha denied, but every time their waiter came in his reaction to him was obvious, even to Wonwoo.
"Oh my god! Seokmin, you're so obvious. Even I can see it!" Wonwoo teased. "When you talk to him your voice gets all soft...oh, you are so cute."
"I am not cute. I am a Marine."
"Marines can be cute. I'm mated to one and he's the cutest," Wonwoo defended, leaning his head on Mingyu's shoulder as his alpha gasped in affront.
"Wonwoo! How could you say I'm cute? I'm absolutely not cute! I could pick you up with one hand," Mingyus said, clearly joking.
"Of course you could, but you're also cute. Like a puppy. My puppy prince."
This caused a round of laughter that lasted so long, that everyone was fanning their faces and clutching their stomachs.
"Oh my gods! I'm only calling you puppy prince from now on," Seokmin said, as he laughed.
"Try it and die," Mingyu answered coldly, "I will tell your new boyfriend every embarrassing story I know about you. Don't test me."
