Chapter 15

White once again fills her eyes when she opens her eyes, but it's not as blinding as the last time. Her mind was foggy, but she knew she was in a hospital bed. She looked to the window and could see the academy right outside it, bringing her to the conclusion this was the school infirmary. She went to move her hand but they stung as soon as she tried, she looked down at her hands and found them bandaged up, and small bits of blood coming up to the top of the bandages.

Her mind raced, why couldn't she remember why her hands were so messed up? Had she lost her memory again? No she couldn't have she remembered everything else just not that. She needed answers and didn't want to wait for them, so she unhooked herself from the machines and managed to stand up, no wheelchair needed this time. She made her way to the door and pulled it open, ignoring the stinging that came from her hands. She peered out and couldn't see anyone so she began to wonder about. That's when she heard a voice she thought she had heard before but couldn't quite place.

"Y/N? Did they release you already? Mr Aizawa asked me to come check if you were okay." She turned to find the dual haired coloured boy, his scar drawing her attention more than his hair. She didn't reply and simply walked up to him, and slowly reached her hand out, gently touching the bottom of his scar. Todoroki froze at first, people didn't really tend to go up to him and touch his scar, so he didn't know what to do. But he didn't sense any ill intent so he didn't pull away.

She had paused waiting to see what he would do, but when he didn't pull away so took that as an invitation to keep touching it, the area was rough to touch but not too bad. She felt a deep sorrow for him and soon found herself cupping his cheek with her hand.

"Todoroki, can you tell me what happened? Before I passed out I mean. I remember everything until that blonde boy started talking, the one from class B, though I don't remember what he said or anything after that until now." Todoroki nodded, moving to the side, her hand coming off of his face as he walked towards the room she came out of, he held the door open for her and the sat, him on the chair by the bed and her on the bed.

He told her all the events that had occurred, her nodding, soon looking horrified at her own actions, looking at her own hands in shame. She wiped away the tears that had formed and looked at the boy, a small but genuine smile on her face.

"Thank you Todo, I appreciate you telling me. Would you be able to take me to Monoma's room, I want to help him if I can." A small blush went to his face at the nickname, but once again he simply nodded and walked towards the door. He led her to another room identical to her own, but this time with a boy on a bed, his face wrapped in bandages.

They walk inside, and the tears begin to flow back down her face. Seeing what she had done was breaking her, she didn't even remember doing it. She felt so guilty, so disgusting in her own skin, her own body that had made her do this. She hated herself. She wished she was the one who's face was messed up not him.

She removed some of the bandage at the top, being careful not to hurt him any further. The top of his forehead was now exposed, bruised and purple. It was not a pretty site. She placed her lips against his forehead and began speaking to him telepathically.

'Monoma... I don't know if you can hear me, but I just want you to know I'm so very very sorry. I hate myself for what I've done to you, even though I don't actually remember doing what I did to you, I wish this was me not you in this bed with bandages around my face. I wish I could heal you, to turn back time and stop myself. I'm so very sorry. And I will do whatever it takes to make it up to you, even if that means taking my own life.' She pulls back tears still streaming down her face, but as she blinks away a few of the tears, she looks at his forehead.

There was no bruising in the spot where her lips had been. Was she dreaming? No this was real. But she had to be sure, she had to test it. She pulled away the rest of the bandages, and she kisses his cheek for a solid 10 seconds, pulls away, and a big kiss print is left behind bruising around it slowly fading away. She looked at Todoroki, who couldn't believe his eyes.

She kissed and kissed until not a single part of his face had a bruise on it. It wasn't taking back what she had done but she knew she had helped. Now it was just waking him up. She placed her hand on his and her eyes turned yellow, a wave of energy transferred from her to Monoma, and within seconds his eyes open. As does the door to the infirmary.
