I miss my Boreas.
I was very happy with the horse I got from battling Shiva, the white horse with the blue mane and tail, the glowing blue eyes, and the trail of snow he left as he galloped. It felt so right riding him through the skies of the icy Coerthas Western Highlands.
But it is another thing Husband says I should not do in Earth. He reminds me that we do not want to be around confused and upset Earth hyur, and it seems riding glowing horses through the sky will confuse and upset them. Which also means he cannot ride his Aithon.
He says we should not ride glowing beasts because he has not observed beasts in this world that glow. He says we should not ride mounts made of metal because they can be seen by hyur using "radar," and that apparently would cause problems. He says we should not ride mounts in the sky when they can be seen by hyur, because none of our mounts look like things hyur expect to see in the sky. This even includes our bird mounts, since hyur do not expect to see birds as large as them.
So we ride at night, and we ride mounts that do not glow or make noise or are made of metal. We ride our goobbues.
And for the past few days we have been riding them westward. Husband wants us to map as much area as we can, looking for things to harvest and things to mine and things to visit. There are so many things we have yet to find here, like mythril and darksteel. Husband insists on using the word "yet"...he says thinking of something as being impossible is the best way to make it so.
Another thing we have "yet" to find is aetherytes. There is aether in this world; I have gathered shards and crystals here. But Earth hyur do not seem to be aware of it, or sensitive to it, as if the whole world is inhabited by Garleans. (Perhaps that explains some of the wars Husband mentions.) So we have "yet" to find on our maps an aetheryte we can teleport to.
So we are travelling westward, chasing the horizon, toward a place called California. Husband thinks there will be so much territory to travel that if an aetheryte exists, we should find it. We could have travelled in any other direction as easily, but since the sun rises in the east we head west away from it, to have as much night as we can get. Then we put down a tent, rest for the day, perhaps see what the land has to offer, and fly off once more in the evening.
It is tiring, but interesting, to see all the land. And it may be more interesting if, as Husband says, this California has grizzly bears. It will give me something to properly hunt.
