Taylor woke up feeling off, her stomach turning with a nauseous wave that had her bolting from the bed and rushing to the bathroom. She barely made it before the contents of her stomach came up. Leaning over the toilet, she groaned, feeling weak and shaky. Her forehead rested against the cool porcelain, her mind racing. It had to be the stomach flu, right? She'd been pushing herself so hard lately between the tour, planning new music, and trying to balance everything with her relationship with Travis.

After a few moments, the nausea eased, and she sat back on the bathroom floor, leaning against the wall. She closed her eyes, taking slow breaths to calm her stomach, but something in the back of her mind was gnawing at her. This wasn't like the flu she had a few weeks ago. There was something different about this time, something she couldn't quite place.

And then it hit her. Her cycle was late. Really late.

Her eyes shot open as the realization washed over her. The dizziness, the nausea, the fatigue she'd been feeling—it wasn't the flu. Or at least, it might not be. A nervous flutter rose in her chest, and before she could think twice, she was on her feet, rummaging through the bathroom cabinet. She found the box of pregnancy tests, the one she'd bought months ago on a whim but never needed—until now.

Her hands shook as she opened the box, pulling out the test and following the instructions. The next few minutes felt like hours as she waited, her heart pounding in her chest. She sat on the edge of the tub, staring at the little stick on the counter, barely daring to breathe.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she picked it up and looked at the results.

Two pink lines.

Taylor blinked, her heart skipping a beat. Two lines. Pregnant.

Her hand flew to her mouth as the reality sank in. She was pregnant. She stared at the test for another minute, her mind spinning with thoughts and emotions. How had she missed this? How had she not realized it sooner?

And Travis. How was she going to tell him?

Tears welled up in her eyes, a mix of joy and nerves swirling inside her. She couldn't wait to tell him. He was going to be over the moon—she just knew it. But at the same time, she felt a small pang of uncertainty. They hadn't planned for this, at least not yet. But life had a funny way of throwing surprises their way.

As the initial shock wore off, a small, excited smile spread across her face. This was happening. She was going to be a mom.

After taking a few deep breaths to calm herself, Taylor tucked the pregnancy test away and cleaned herself up. Travis was still at practice, but she knew he'd be home soon. She wanted the moment to be perfect, something special they could both remember forever. She took her time getting ready, brushing her hair and slipping into a cozy sweater. Her nerves were buzzing, but the excitement was quickly overpowering them.

An hour later, Taylor heard the sound of the front door opening and closing. Her heart skipped as she heard Travis's familiar footsteps in the hall.

"Hey, babe! I'm home!" his voice called out.

Taylor stood in the living room, clutching a small box in her hands. She'd wrapped the pregnancy test inside, tying it with a simple ribbon. Her pulse quickened as she heard him approaching, her mind racing with how to say it, how to break the news in the right way.

Travis walked into the room, a smile on his face as he dropped his duffel bag by the door. He looked tired but happy, his eyes lighting up when he saw her. "Hey, how're you feeling?" he asked, stepping forward to kiss her on the forehead. "You still look a little pale."

Taylor took a deep breath, her heart pounding as she held the small box behind her back. "I'm... better, but there's something I need to tell you."

His brow furrowed in concern, immediately sensing the seriousness in her voice. "What's wrong?"

She bit her lip, her hands trembling slightly as she brought the box out from behind her back. "It's not exactly bad news. It's... good news. Really good news."

Travis looked at the box in her hands, his confusion deepening. "What is it?"

With a nervous smile, Taylor handed him the box, watching as he untied the ribbon and carefully opened it. He stared down at the pregnancy test for a long moment, his expression unreadable as the realization slowly dawned on him.

He looked up at her, his eyes wide with shock. "Wait... is this...?"

Taylor nodded, her own eyes shining with emotion. "I'm pregnant, Travis."

For a second, the room was completely silent, the weight of the moment sinking in. Then, Travis's face broke into the biggest, brightest smile she'd ever seen. "You're pregnant?" he repeated, his voice full of awe and disbelief.

"Yes," she whispered, tears spilling over as she nodded again. "We're having a baby."

Travis let out a joyful laugh, dropping the box and pulling her into his arms, lifting her off the ground as he spun her around. "We're having a baby!" he exclaimed, his voice full of excitement and love.

Taylor laughed through her tears, her heart swelling with happiness as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "We are," she said, burying her face in his shoulder, overwhelmed by how much love she felt in that moment.

Travis set her down gently, his hands cupping her face as he looked at her with pure adoration. "I can't believe it," he whispered, his voice full of emotion. "This is... this is the best news I've ever heard."

Taylor smiled through her tears, resting her forehead against his. "I'm a little scared, but I'm so happy, Travis."

"We're going to be amazing parents," he said softly, brushing a tear from her cheek. "I promise you that."

And in that moment, with Travis's arms wrapped around her, Taylor knew that no matter what, they were in this together—and it was the start of something beautiful.
