Asleep On The Couch

It had been a long day, and Taylor hadn't meant to fall asleep on the couch. She'd just wanted to relax for a bit, maybe watch some TV to distract herself while Travis was away in Denver for his game. But the quiet of the house, combined with the exhaustion of the past few days, had crept up on her, and before she knew it, she was fast asleep, curled up under a throw blanket.

Her security team, always vigilant, had been keeping an eye on her from a distance. John, her head of security, had been especially watchful since the paparazzi incident. With Travis away, he felt even more responsible for making sure she was safe, and tonight, that included making sure she was comfortable.

It was late now, and John noticed that she hadn't moved from the couch in hours. He walked quietly over to check on her, finding her sound asleep, her breathing slow and even. A soft glow from the TV illuminated her face, casting gentle shadows in the dim room.

John smiled slightly, seeing how peaceful she looked. But sleeping on the couch wasn't ideal. Her neck would be stiff in the morning, and with her ankle still recovering, she needed to rest properly. He knew she'd be more comfortable in her own bed.

He motioned to another member of the security team, and together, they carefully approached her. "Let's get her to bed," John whispered softly.

With practiced care, he gently lifted Taylor into his arms. She stirred slightly, mumbling something incoherent in her sleep, but didn't wake. Her head rested against John's chest, her body limp and relaxed in his arms. As they moved through the quiet house, the other guard made sure the path was clear, holding the doors open as John carried her up the stairs.

Once they reached her bedroom, John laid her down carefully on the bed, making sure her injured ankle was supported. He pulled the blankets up over her, tucking them around her so she'd stay warm through the night. Taylor shifted slightly, but her eyes stayed closed, her breathing still deep and steady.

John stood by the side of the bed for a moment, watching her. He was relieved to see her resting so peacefully after everything she'd been through. Travis had left him strict instructions to keep her safe and comfortable while he was away, and John intended to do just that.

He turned to leave the room, but before he did, he glanced at the nightstand and noticed Taylor's phone lighting up with a message. It was from Travis. John smiled, knowing how much Travis worried about her, especially when he couldn't be there himself.

John gently set the phone back down without reading the full message and left the room, quietly closing the door behind him. He returned to his post downstairs, confident that Taylor was safe and sound for the night. With Travis away, it was their job to protect her—and he wasn't going to let anything slip through the cracks.

As the house settled into a peaceful silence, Taylor slept soundly, unaware of the careful watch being kept over her, but knowing deep down that she was always protected, no matter where Travis was.
