The morning sun streamed through the windows as Taylor sat in the back of the car, gazing out at the passing streets. Her thoughts were a whirlwind as her security team quietly drove her to her OB-GYN appointment. Travis was at his home game, focused on football, and she'd told him she'd be fine on her own. But even with the assurance of her team, she couldn't shake the slight nervousness swirling in her chest.

This appointment was important. Today, she was going to find out the gender of their baby. The thought filled her with excitement, but also a little anxiety. A part of her wished Travis could be there, but with his schedule, they had agreed she would handle the appointment and surprise him with the news afterward.

John, her head of security, sat in the front seat, quietly observing their surroundings. He turned back to glance at her as they neared the clinic. "You feeling alright, Taylor?" he asked, his voice calm and steady.

She smiled faintly, her hand resting protectively on her still-flat belly. "Yeah, just... a little nervous, I guess. It's a big day."

John nodded. "You're in good hands. We've got everything covered." His words, as always, were meant to comfort her, and they did. She trusted him and the rest of the team with her life.

Soon, they arrived at the clinic. The team moved efficiently, escorting Taylor inside with minimal fuss, ensuring she wasn't bothered by anyone. Thankfully, the staff at the OB-GYN office was used to handling high-profile clients, and everything was done with care and discretion.

Taylor was taken to the back, where she was greeted by her doctor, who had been with her from the start of her pregnancy journey. After the usual pleasantries, she was led into the exam room. As she lay back on the examination table, her heart beat a little faster. The ultrasound technician prepped the machine, and soon, the familiar swoosh of the baby's heartbeat filled the room.

Taylor's breath caught. Every time she heard it, it felt like a miracle.

The doctor smiled at her, eyes twinkling as she maneuvered the ultrasound wand. "Are you ready to find out if it's a boy or a girl?"

Taylor nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. "Yeah. I'm ready."

The room was quiet for a moment, the only sound the soft beeping of the ultrasound machine. Then, the doctor paused, looking up at Taylor with a warm smile. "Congratulations, Taylor. It's a girl."

A surge of emotions washed over Taylor—joy, disbelief, love, all at once. A baby girl. She couldn't help but smile, her eyes misting with tears. She had always imagined what it would be like to have a child, but now knowing she was going to have a daughter—it made everything feel so real, so tangible.

"A girl..." she whispered to herself, her hand resting on her stomach. Her thoughts immediately went to Travis. How would he react when she told him? She could already picture the look of pure joy on his face. He had been so excited about the baby, and now, knowing they were having a little girl would mean the world to him.

After finishing up with the doctor, Taylor was escorted out by her security team, who were as discreet as ever. John gave her a knowing look as they walked back to the car. "Good news?"

Taylor smiled, her excitement bubbling over. "It's a girl."

John grinned, his usually stoic expression softening. "That's amazing. Travis is going to be over the moon."

The drive back home was quieter, but Taylor's thoughts were racing. How was she going to tell Travis? Should she do something special, or just tell him the moment he walked in the door? She couldn't wait to see his reaction, couldn't wait to share this incredible moment with him.

As the car pulled up to her house, Taylor felt a sense of calm settle over her. She still had a little time before Travis came home from his game, and she decided she'd figure out the perfect way to tell him once she was inside.

For now, she just let herself savor the moment. A baby girl. Their baby girl.
