The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a soft golden light across the penthouse as Travis woke up early the next morning. He blinked a few times, adjusting to the dim light filtering through the curtains. His eyes quickly found Taylor, who was still fast asleep beside him, but what caught his attention was how she had curled up tightly with Meredith Grey, her beloved cat.

Taylor's face was peaceful, no longer showing any signs of the distress she had felt during the night. Her arm was draped protectively around Meredith, who was nestled comfortably against her chest, purring softly in her sleep. The sight made Travis smile. There was something so sweet, so calming about seeing them together like that.

For a moment, Travis just watched them, the peacefulness of the scene making him feel a deep sense of love and tenderness. He quietly leaned over, brushing a soft kiss against Taylor's temple, careful not to wake her. She stirred slightly but didn't open her eyes, too lost in her restful slumber to notice. He whispered, "I'll be back soon."

As much as he wanted to stay and cuddle with them, Travis had an early game practice to get to. He slid out of bed carefully, not wanting to disturb the quiet. After quickly getting ready, he grabbed his bag and slipped out of the room, casting one last glance at Taylor and Meredith before heading out the door.

Practice went by quickly, but his mind kept drifting back to Taylor and how peaceful she had looked that morning. He found himself finishing up his drills and routines faster than usual, eager to get home and check on her.

By the time Travis returned to the penthouse a few hours later, one of Taylor's security guards greeted him at the door. "Morning, Mr. Kelce," the guard said with a polite nod. "Ms. Swift is still asleep. She's been resting peacefully with her cat since you left."

Travis chuckled softly, the thought of Taylor still asleep with Meredith bringing a smile to his face. "Thanks for keeping an eye on her," he replied before making his way upstairs.

He quietly pushed open the bedroom door, and sure enough, Taylor hadn't moved much. She was still curled up with Meredith, her breathing steady and calm. The sight warmed his heart all over again. There was something so endearing about the way she found comfort in her cat, how Meredith was always there for her in moments when she needed extra love.

Travis changed out of his practice clothes and into something more comfortable before climbing back into bed, careful not to wake either of them. He slid in beside Taylor, gently wrapping his arm around her waist and scooting closer. She murmured something in her sleep but didn't wake, instinctively leaning into his embrace as he pulled her close.

With Taylor in one arm and Meredith nestled against her, Travis felt an overwhelming sense of peace. The hustle and stress of the outside world, the pressures of their public lives, seemed to melt away in this quiet moment. He pressed his lips to the back of her head, the smell of her shampoo familiar and comforting.

For a while, he simply lay there, holding her, content to just be in this space with the two of them. It was moments like this that made everything worth it—the craziness of their schedules, the endless attention from the world outside. Here, in the privacy of their home, it was just them, no cameras, no fans, no noise.

As the morning light filled the room, Travis felt Taylor stir slightly, her body shifting as she slowly woke up. Her eyes fluttered open, and she turned her head just enough to see him there, already watching her with a soft smile.

"Hey," she whispered, her voice groggy from sleep.

"Hey," he whispered back, tightening his arm around her. "You slept in."

She smiled, glancing down at Meredith, who was still curled up against her. "Yeah, I guess I did. This little one kept me company."

Travis chuckled softly. "I saw. You two were pretty cute this morning."

Taylor blushed a little, snuggling closer to him. "How was practice?"

"Good," Travis replied, pressing a kiss to her cheek. "But I couldn't wait to get back home to you."

Taylor smiled softly, resting her head against his chest. "I'm glad you're back."

They lay there in the quiet for a little while longer, cuddled together in the warmth of their bed, with Meredith still snoozing peacefully between them. It was one of those rare mornings where the world seemed to slow down, giving them a chance to just be together, undisturbed by the chaos of their busy lives. And in that moment, everything felt perfect.
