Chapter 6 Break-up

POV: Sapphire

Josh and I finally arrived at the hotel. We enter into the hotel restaurant. Josh acts like a complete gentleman and pulls my chair out for me. How sweet but I'm not falling for it buddy.

Josh sits in the chair across from me. "This is nice, huh? You look amazing, did I tell you that because you look hot." Josh says. "You did," I tell him.

The waiter approaches our table with menus in hand. "May I take your drink orders?" The waiter asks. "Oh, I'll just have a glass of water," I answer. "Um, yeah water for me too," Josh orders.

Josh begins looking over the menu. I ignore the menu because I'm not eating anything. "Listen, Josh, we need to talk," I tell Josh and he drops the menu on the table with a look of worry. "Oh gosh! You're backing out, aren't you? Babe, I know you're nervous but it's all going to be ok." Josh says. Is he kidding? If I had truly changed my mind he was going to try his best to talk me into it anyway. Bastard!

"Josh, no. I'm not backing out of anything. I'm going to do IT tonight. My V-card will be no more after tonight. Now if you will listen to me first before jumping to conclusions." I tell him annoyed and full of attitude. "Ok, you're right. I'm sorry, Saf." He apologizes.

"Ok then. What I wanted to talk about was how much time you've been spending with Mia." I say. "Mia? Are you jealous?" Josh asks looking surprised and proud. "No, I am NOT jealous. I just want to know if anything has happened between you two, is all. I heard a rumor that you and Mia kissed." I ask. I want to see if he will come clean and admit it to me. I know he won't but it's worth a shot.

Josh gets a very shocked and nervous look on his face. "What!? No! Sapphire, no. It's just a rumor. Nothing has ever or will ever happen between Mia and me. How could you not trust me? You're my forever. I love you." Josh says. I nod understanding he will never admit it. "Are you sure because why would people say that you and Mia kissed if it didn't happen?" I ask begging him to admit it. I could forgive him if he admitted it. I would still end things with him but I could forgive him.

"Oh my gosh, Sapphire! I said no. Nothing happened. It's a rumor. People make stuff up all the time just to cause drama. Baby, I am yours. I have never cheated on you. I love you." He denies everything getting a little defensive. "Ok." I nod and give him a sad smile. "Good, now what are we going to eat? What do you want?" He asks referring to the menus.

"Um, actually, I'm going to use the restroom real quick. I'll be right back." I tell him. "Yeah, sure, ok. I'll be waiting." He says blowing me a kiss. I roll my eyes turning my back to him. I don't go to the bathroom, instead I go outside to his car and grab my things.

Josh always leaves his car keys at the concierge desk because he is forever losing them so to ensure he doesn't he leaves them with someone trusted. Jack made sure to tell whoever was working the desk tonight to give me the keys and I would return them. Jack set a room up for me to stay in tonight free of charge. I tried to refuse but he insisted and called it a birthday present.

I grab my stuff from Josh's car and head back inside the hotel. I return the keys and check into my room. Soon I'm in the room. I sit on the bed and take my phone out. I sent Josh the text message that will forever change things between us. If had come clean to me maybe we could have been friends but I want nothing to do with him now.
