POV: Liam

My name is Liam Keller and I am the lead guitarist for the band Glass Tears. I am 31 years old. I have two little sisters but I only know one of them. That's weird, right but there's a story there. The little sister I know is Grace Keller and she is 28 years old. My other sister is about 17 or 18 years old.

Anyway, as you already know I just paid a visit to an old friend, Levi. Glass Tears used to play at the Drunk Grease Monkey bar and grill all the time. That's how we got started. The band has been in a bit of a rut and in the public eye. Being in the public eye is a good thing normally but lately, it's been in a negative way. We've been slowly fixing it. Getting back to our roots will go a long way for us.

Levi loved the idea but we can't get in the way of the girl on stage. I don't know her situation but according to Levi, she needed the money desperately. She sounded just like us when we got started. We didn't start out for the fame. No, it was all just fun and games. Grace is the one who gave the push to go for it.

That girl, Sapphire was interesting. I know it seemed like I was flirting but I wasn't. That's just how I am. I wanted to get her reaction. Sapphire looked very familiar. I know it's stupid and probably nothing. I've been wrong before about this but she looked like my dad. I swear I was looking right into his eyes looking at her.

Dad won't give us any information about our long-lost sister. Grace and I have been trying to find her. What Dad did was horrible. I can understand why my mother did what she did. My mother hasn't been the same since she found out our father had an affair. Grace and I had no idea until four years ago.

We went our entire lives not knowing we had a sister out there. I'm probably just grasping at straws with this girl hoping she's her.

That girl had a set of pipes on her. She had no problem taking my challenge. Music is a big deal in my family. I wanted to just how good she was. I was quite impressed by her.

I do have to admit I was a bit thrown off by her at first because she had no idea who I was. It's not often I meet someone who has never heard of our band. She struck me as the type of girl who gets things done. She knows what she wants and she goes out for it but she does so realistically. She's not the type to go out for those wild dreams. She's a practical girl. The type where she questions if she truly needs it or not.

"Liam!" My sister calls out for me. I stopped by the bar on my way to the hotel. My parents managed to patch their relationship up after Dad cheated but Mom's trust in him is very slim. They moved to Florida a couple of years ago. They're visiting this weekend and we had dinner with them at the hotel before they leave tomorrow morning.

I'm on my way to my car when Grace starts calling out for me. "What Grace?" I ask. "Did you stop by Levi's?" She asks. "I did, why?" I ask. She knows I was there and why. She's the one who asked me to do it. "Levi said it's fine we can perform there," I tell her when I realize she probably wants to know if Levi will let us play in his bar.

"Ok, did anything else happen?" She asks. "No, why?" I ask. Why is she questioning me? Did I do something wrong? "Because Callum called me. He said you were acting weird with one of the girls that works there." Oh, this is why she's hounding me about it. "Yeah, and? Look, it's nothing. I just thought maybe the girl might be her, you know. She had dad's eyes." I admit.

"What was her name? Maybe I can contact Lewis to look into her." Grace suggests. Lewis is a private investigator we've been using to search for our half-sister. "Sapphire, it's a very unique name. Hard to forget." I answer. Grace presses her lips together and scrunched her eyebrows together. "What? What are you thinking?" I ask her.

"Nothing, it's nothing. I was just wishing we had something to narrow it down. Dad should know something about her and yet he refuses to give us any information." Grace complains. She's right, Dad has been infuriating through all of this. He signed all of his rights from our sister with no contact. He'd have to go to court to get his rights back. If she's already 18 then it will be even harder. There is no telling where this girl ended up. I wish I at least knew her name.
