I built this castle slow and steady, brick by brick
I told you I'm kind of busy, but I'll still be here
You told me anytime I want to, you'll be near
Wet ink on a scroll is mixed, how ironic

Should've seen the sign, the fleeting of time
Would've never guessed it was only for half a fortnight
The battlefield is covered with bruises and debris
You'd think there'd be many casualties, but it was just me

Begging you to cut the string, shatter the heart
Because only then I'll have the evidence
The most crucial one, to tear this kingdom apart
I'll still bleed, but it would be better than silence

One day you'd say I abandoned the keep
You didn't know I was buried beneath
I sent my bravest archers and knights
But you left them to die in a starlit night
