wooyoung was supposed to have gone home by sunday night—at the latest, maybe monday morning.
but no, he'd decided to while away some more of his time in the comfort of his family's presence, even though weekdays meant that yi-seul would be off to work, and it would be just his mum and him at home until the evening. wooyoung didn't mind that, either.
when he was back on campus, it was thursday. wooyoung had slowly started to lose sight of the things that had bothered him—he was back to normal now, able to focus on his mission to find the gossip queen, able to focus on his education (somewhat), and most importantly, able to be sane enough to acknowledge that there was no need for a friendship to brew between him and san.
maybe he'd momentarily lost track because of san's gestures, given that he was having a spat with his friends at the time. besides, san was handsome. no one would mind spending time with eye candy like him under the guise of friendship.
as mentioned before, wooyoung, who appreciated beauty when he saw it, was willing to overlook san's nuke-like anger issues, thanks to his good looks.
now, he was in the lecture hall, jina to his left, yeosang to his right.
jina had spent time bonding with them in the short time wooyoung had been gone, seeing how nobody seemed to have found it unusual that she was sitting with them now. wooyoung was glad for this, really. he'd ignored a lot of calls and texts from his friends in the past few days, dropping out of plans they'd made for night-outs and lunches or dinners.
jina had been the 'replacement' in most of these situations, and her presence as a fill-in and now a friend made it less worse for wooyoung, who was on the receiving end of yeosang's rage for ghosting all of them yet again.
and, while he had been gone, another big development had occurred—yeosang had agreed to help them with finding the gossip queen.
whether reluctantly or forced, wooyoung didn't have a clue. but he was grateful. hongjoong and jongho had agreed to help, too, but their presence was as helpful as a droplet of water to a relentless flame. it was useless.
nonetheless, wooyoung appreciated the thought, and they would make for good background noise, so it was alright.
jina had initially been against their help, saying they couldn't afford to trust anyone just yet. but wooyoung, being wooyoung, just had to spill the details to his friends about how the student association head was involved in this web of chaos. after that, they really had no choice.
back to the present—wooyoung, who had just claimed to be able to focus on his education, was now watching a true crime documentary. true crime stories were usually reserved for his steam facial sessions, but now, since he was up to date with father-un-lawful and had no other dramas to catch up on since most of what he was watching had come to an end, he had resorted to this.
