"Psst, Lily" whispered Madison. "Lil, I love you, you know that but if I spend any more time in this library today I might die".

Lily sighed and looked up at the clock hanging on the library wall. Two hours of revision immediately after six and a half hours of school would tire anyone out - but not Lily Evans.

"Fine, but you will thank me for it tomorrow when we ace the chemistry exam" replied Lily, packing her textbooks into her brown leather rucksack and fastening her navy duffle coat.

Lily and Madison exited the school library and began to walk down the leaf-covered path home. Glancing into the park, Lily saw a group of guys on the benches, laughing, drinking and talking loudly.

"What's caught your eye Lil?" Questioned Madison "you totally zoned out there".
"Oh nothing, just wondering who those guys were" replied Lily.
"Over there on the benches? They go to our school dumbo! The year above us, I think, but they are so hot, all of them! I swear, God was doing us all a favour when he designed those specimens" explained Madison enthusiastically.

Lily was a very observant person, however at school she was so focused that she barely noticed anything but the words on the board, textbooks and coming out of her teachers mouths, however even she was surprised that she had never noticed those guys before.

"Have a good night Lily and please don't work yourself to death. You'll ace this exam whether you slave all night reading over notes or watch a movie, so please for your own sake, chose the latter. See you in the morning chick" called Madison as she skipped up the steps to her house on Morgan Avenue. "Bye Maddie" replied Lily as she gave her friend a cheery wave and continued her walk home.

Madison and Lily had been best friends since they were in diapers and at 17 years old they were still inseparable. Maddie was the adventurous sense of fun in Lily's life and loved nothing more than shopping and being a social butterfly, regularly trying to persuade Lily to come to parties with her, much to Lily's dismay.

Lily walked the rest of the way home deep in thought about her day, from her breakfast with her siblings to the most recent sighting of the guys in the park. Maybe now she has seen them she would notice them at school, or maybe she would just remain in her bubble trying to get by unnoticed.
