Two days off. Mezo let you know he was staying for both. His parents trusted Aizawa. Plus they didn't really care what he did as long as it didn't cause trouble. You knew Mezo had a friendly relationship with them. They weren't abusive, but certainly not the best. When you opened up to Mezo about your past he opened up to you about his. Even telling you how an incident from his childhood led to his parents moving close to Musufutsu when he was a first year in middle school to be closer to UA. From then on your friendship blossomed even more. You trusted Mezo with basically your life and he returned that trust.
Back to the present, it was the morning of your first day off. Currently the campus was under investigation for the day then tomorrow afternoon Kayama and Yamada were going to attend a meeting. They'd be back right after. This morning you had woken up in your bed, on the floor next to it Mezo was sleeping on a futon. However he was awake, after all he woke up earlier than you. He was sitting up scrolling through his phone, using the side of your bed to lean on. Laying on your stomach you wrap your arms around his shoulders. Your head rested on your one arm leaning against his head. "Good morning. Sleep well?" He asked, shutting off his phone. He put his hands on your arms.
"Yeah..."
"Let's head downstairs and get breakfast."
"Hmm... Wanna make some pancakes with me?"
"Sure." Mezo currently didn't have his mask on so you could see him smile. He let a chuckle slip. He was just glad you were doing better. He knew you were worried over Aizawa, but now you knew he'd be fine soon. Smiling back at him you got up and brushed your hair.
"I'm staying in pajamas so don't worry about getting dressed up. I'm pretty sure Kayama and Yamada are as well." He chuckles and nods. He fixes up his hair and leaves his mask off. He was comfortable around you and the two adults, he felt he didn't need it. Both of you head down to be greeted by two very awake adults. "How are you both morning people?"
"Same could be said about you two?" Kayama retorts back.
"I'm more of a non-nap waking up person. I can wake up just fine in the morning or stay up late. Naps, can't wake me from those." Your answer makes everyone laugh. "Anyways me and Mezo were thinking of making pancakes. Want some?"
"YES PLEASE! You make some of the best!" Yamada's enthusiastic answer makes you smile.
"Hm, I'll make some chrysanthemum tea to go along with it." Kayama adds. You had roped Kayama into your little tea addiction. Unlike most people, you did not like sodas or energy drinks. You preferred fruit juices and tea. You also weren't big on coffee. Mezo also liked tea and you often made it when he came over.
Going to the kitchen you pull out the pancake recipe. "Ok, so do we want plain pancakes? I can make bacon and eggs or serve them with berries and whip cream. I can also make chocolate chip ones with berries or bacon? Which do you want?"
"Let's make plain with eggs and bacon." Mezo says while Yamada and Kayama nod in agreement. Mezo helps get all the ingredients out and the utensils. For pancakes you had a special griddle that you sprayed with oil and plugged in to heat up. Mezo started making the eggs and bacon while you worked on the pancakes. It was fairly easy to get everything done. Kayama started making tea while Yamada set the table. Setting out serving trays with the food on it, everyone helped themselves to however much they wanted.
"OOO Tomorrow you should make your signature Omelets!" Yamada excitedly suggested while stuffing his face with food. You had an interest in cooking so you were well known for certain dishes. Most were just western versions of dishes. Like western omelets were slightly different from Japanese omelets. It was mostly in presentation or how they were cooked, but both were customizable with what you put in them though.
