As I gaze upon her face I realized my tragedy.
I am consumed by pain for it took me so long to see you are a rarity.
How could life split us so cruelly with such brutality.
I wish to go back to sleep and escape this reality.

As I lay on her lap looking up at her face, I realized I miss looking into space.

I long to be pressed against your chest as our tears evaporate in a fiery haze.
