A few weeks after the wedding, Emma discovered she was pregnant. The news was a shock to her, and she struggled to come to terms with it. The pregnancy test result was undeniable, but she was unsure how to handle the situation, especially given the recent turbulence in her life.

Emma knew she had to confront Josh about the pregnancy. One evening, after much deliberation, she gathered her courage and approached him

"Josh, we need to talk," Emma said, her voice trembling. She held the positive pregnancy test in her hand. "I'm pregnant."
Josh's expression shifted from confusion to disbelief. "Pregnant? How can this be? I thought..."

Emma's voice was filled with fear and sadness. "I don't know what to say. I didn't plan this, and I'm scared."

Josh's face darkened as he processed the news. "This isn't my child, is it? I've been with you, but you were with someone else before, weren't you?"

Emma's eyes filled with tears as she tried to explain. "Josh, I don't know who the father is. I didn't want this to happen. I've been trying to sort things out, but..."

Josh's anger flared uncontrollably. "How could you do this to me? You've betrayed me!"

Before Emma could respond, Josh's rage turned violent. He grabbed Emma roughly, shoving her against the wall. Emma cried out in pain and fear as he began to hit her. The room was filled with her sobs and Josh's furious shouts

"Stop! Please, Josh!" Emma pleaded through her tears. "I'm sorry, I never meant for any of this to happen!"

Josh, overwhelmed by his own fury, continued to lash out. "You've ruined everything! This is not how I imagined our life together!"
His violent outburst left Emma physically bruised and emotionally shattered. She struggled to defend herself, her pleas for mercy drowned out by Josh's anger. Eventually, his energy began to wane, and he stepped back, breathing heavily, his face a mixture of guilt and confusion.

"I... I didn't mean for this," Josh said, his voice now tinged with remorse. "I just couldn't handle the shock."

Emma, her face tear-streaked and battered, managed to find the strength to get up. Her body ached, and she felt a profound sense of betrayal and fear. "I need to get out of here," she said weakly, her voice barely audible.

Josh, realizing the gravity of what he had done, watched helplessly as Emma stumbled out of the room. The violence and betrayal had irrevocably damaged their relationship.
