As Draco and Emma returned to Malfoy Manor after their visit to the lake, the serene atmosphere of their day was abruptly shattered. As they approached the grand entrance, they noticed a commotion at the front of the estate.

Several Ministry of Magic officials were present, their wands drawn and their expressions grim. At the center of the commotion were Draco's parents, Narcissa and Lucius Malfoy, looking both defiant and bewildered.

Draco's heart sank as he realized what was happening. He grabbed Emma's hand tightly and rushed towards the scene. “What’s going on?” Draco demanded, his voice filled with alarm.

One of the Ministry officials, a stern-looking man with glasses, turned to face Draco. “Draco Malfoy, I presume? I’m Auror Dawlish. We’re here to arrest your parents on charges of supporting Voldemort and his Death Eaters during the recent conflict.”

Draco’s eyes widened in shock and anger. “What? This can’t be happening. My parents would never—”

Narcissa, though visibly distressed, tried to maintain her composure. “Draco, listen to me. This is a misunderstanding. We’ve been loyal to the Ministry. We were forced into supporting Voldemort under duress.”

Lucius, however, was seething with fury. “This is an outrage! We’ve done nothing wrong. This is nothing more than a witch hunt!”

Auror Dawlish remained unmoved. “We have evidence of your involvement with the Death Eaters and your support of Voldemort. It’s not just a matter of personal belief. There are serious charges against you.”

Draco turned to Emma, his face a mixture of shock and frustration. “This is my worst fear come true. My parents have been arrested because of their past actions.”

Emma squeezed his hand, trying to offer comfort amidst the chaos. “I’m so sorry, Draco. This must be incredibly difficult for you.”

Draco turned back to the Aurors, trying to keep his voice steady. “What will happen to them now?”

Auror Dawlish replied, “They will be taken to the Ministry for questioning and then held until a trial. If found guilty, they could face significant penalties.”

Draco’s face was a mask of anguish and conflict. “I need to speak to them. Please, let me say goodbye.”

Auror Dawlish nodded reluctantly. “You have a few moments. But make it quick.”

Draco approached his parents, his heart heavy with the weight of the situation. “Mother, Father, I... I don’t know what to say.”

Narcissa reached out to him, her eyes filled with a mixture of sorrow and resignation. “Draco, we’re sorry for everything. We did what we thought was necessary to protect ourselves and you.”

Lucius, though still angry, looked at Draco with a mix of pride and regret. “You’ve always been our strength. Don’t let this destroy you.”

Draco fought back tears as he embraced his parents. “I’ll do everything I can to help you. I won’t let this ruin everything we’ve worked for.”

As the Aurors prepared to escort Narcissa and Lucius away, Draco turned to Emma, his face pale and haunted. “I’m not sure what to do now. My whole world feels like it’s falling apart.”

Emma wrapped her arms around him, offering her support. “We’ll face this together. I’m here for you, no matter what happens.”

With Draco’s parents being led away, the gravity of the situation settled heavily over them. The future was uncertain, but Emma’s presence and their shared resolve provided a small beacon of hope amidst the turmoil.
