A few weeks after the park meeting with Draco, things had been increasingly tense for Emma. Despite Draco's supportive conversation, her home life with Josh had become more strained.

One evening, Josh found Emma at a café, where she was meeting with friends and catching up. He had been suspicious and watched from a distance, observing Emma as she interacted with others. His jealousy and anger festered, and he decided to confront her.

As Emma left the café, Josh approached her abruptly, his face a mask of fury. “Emma, what are you doing here?”

Emma looked startled, her voice shaky. “I was just meeting friends. It’s not what you think.”

Josh’s anger boiled over. “Meeting friends? You’re with other men, spending time with them while you’re supposed to be with me. How could you?”

Before Emma could respond, Josh grabbed her arm roughly, pulling her towards their home. Emma struggled, but Josh’s grip was unyielding.

When they arrived at their apartment, Josh’s rage reached its peak. He slammed the door behind them and turned on Emma with a fury that had been simmering for weeks.

“How could you betray me like this?” Josh shouted, his voice echoing through the apartment. “I saw you with them. How could you?”

Emma tried to defend herself, tears streaming down her face. “I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I was just talking to friends. Please, Josh, calm down.”

Josh’s anger was uncontrolled. He began to hit her, the violence a stark contrast to the calm demeanor he had once shown. Emma cried out in pain, trying to shield herself from the blows. “Stop! Please, Josh!”

Josh’s rage continued as he struck her. “You’ve ruined everything! I can’t believe you would do this to me!”

The violence left Emma battered and terrified. Her attempts to reason with Josh only seemed to fuel his anger further. Eventually, his energy began to wane, and he stepped back, breathing heavily.

Emma, her face bruised and tear-streaked, managed to find the strength to get up. She looked at Josh, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and sadness. “I don’t deserve this. I’m done with this.”

Josh, now faced with the aftermath of his violent outburst, was left to grapple with his actions. The apartment, once a place of shared memories, now felt like a battleground of shattered trust and anger.

Emma, feeling a deep sense of betrayal and fear, knew she had to leave. She managed to get out of the apartment and sought refuge with friends or family, reaching out for support and safety.

Josh, left alone, faced the harsh reality of what he had done. His violent behavior had irreparably damaged their relationship and left a trail of pain that would be difficult to heal. Emma’s departure marked a significant turning point, highlighting the severity of the situation and the urgent need for both to confront the consequences of their actions.
