Lala Gehlot's house,
Early the next morning. The previous night, Khushi had run over to Lala's house with a burst of excitement, catching Dev and Dhruv by surprise. She had told them that all the siblings wanted to spend time together the next morning since they hadn't had a chance to bond properly during the busy wedding festivities. Dev and Dhruv had happily agreed, their hearts warming at the thought of a relaxed morning with their cousins.
Now, as the sun streamed through the kitchen window, Dev bustled around, expertly flipping pancakes on the griddle. The mouthwatering aroma filled the air, drawing his younger cousins into the kitchen like moths to a flame.
"Dev bhaiya, are we having a pancake feast?" Khushi exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she entered the kitchen.
"Of course! Someone has to fed you all this morning, and I happen to be the best chef in the family," Dev replied with a playful smirk.
Nandini rolled her eyes, leaning against the counter. "I don't care who is making breakfast since pancakes are involved!"
Dev chuckled, pouring more batter onto the griddle. "Just wait until you taste them. They'll be the best you've ever had."
Payel and Rishav joined the fun, leaning over the counter to sneak a taste of the batter. "You seem to know your way around the kitchen very well, bhaiya." Payel praised, "You should have seen the disaster Rishav made last time he tried to cook," she teased, grinning at her younger brother.
"Hey! That was one time!" Rishav shot back, crossing his arms dramatically. "I was just trying to add a little... creativity to the dish!"
Dev laughed heartily, his heart swelling with affection for his younger cousins.
Nandini scoffed. "Creativity? You mean chaos." Rishav pouted while other snickered.
As the pancakes piled high on the plate, Dev placed them in front of his younger cousins. "Dig in, kids!" he announced, watching them eagerly serve themselves.
"This is amazing!" Nandini said, her mouth full. "I think I could eat a whole stack by myself."
"Go ahead. I made enough for an army," Dev replied, his eyes twinkling.
After breakfast, they gathered in the living room, curling up on the couch with blankets and pillows. "What's on the agenda?" Khushi asked, tucking her legs in anticipation.
"Movie marathon!" Rishav declared, flicking through the streaming options. "What should we watch first? A rom-com or an action flick?"
"Rom-com! We need something light after all those pancakes," Nandini suggested.
Dev leaned back, smiling as he watched them bicker over their choices. "Alright, but only if I get to pick the next one," he said, raising an eyebrow.
"Deal!" Khushi replied, grinning.
Just then, the front door burst open, and Dhruv walked in, holding Daisy's hand. The little girl was animatedly chatting about her ice cream, her cheeks flushed with excitement. She spotted the group and her eyes lit up.
"Chachu! Bua!" Daisy squealed, breaking free from Dhruv's grasp and running over to them.
Nandini caught her and pulled her onto her lap, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Hey there, princess! Did you have fun with Dhruv chachu?"
Daisy nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! We had ice cream, and then we saw a doggie, and chachu bought me a balloon!"
"A balloon?" Rishav said, pretending to be shocked. "Why didn't he buy me one?"
