Chapter Thirteen

Upstairs Sung-Hoon turned to leave moving to follow behind Sunoo when Ni-ki stopped him. "What the hell is wrong with you?" Ni-ki asked his voice stern making Sung-Hoon turn back to him with a smirk. "Well, what do you think little bro I can't let you have all the fun now can I, It wouldn't be right to let you have everything so easily." Sung-Hoon scoffed moving closer to Ni-ki who shook his head. "Seriously, you never cease to amaze me this isn't some fucked up competition to see who can get him first did you forget where we are? I don't have time for your bullshit." Ni-ki said as he pushed past Sung-Hoon.

"We wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for you." That made Ni-ki stop in the doorway momentarily with a deep sigh. "I know and believe me when I say I wish I could go back and change what happened but you were never going to stop and we would've been caught anyway," Ni-ki said looking away from his brother. "Ni-ki, you're my little brother we were supposed to be in this together, we were almost finished we could've run away but yet here we are stuck in this hell hole because of what some fucking dead guy made you feel bad." Sung-Hoon gently placed his hands on Ni-ki's shoulders making eye contact hoping to reach the Ni-ki he used to know.

Ni-ki shrugged his hands off and took a step back with a hard look. "No, I only wanted to question them no- not that you took it too far. Just leave Sunoo alone please he is different from the others and I can get you out of here if you would cooperate." Ni-ki said appealing to his brother's reason. "What are you talking about?" Sung-Hoon asked. "Hee-Seung, he's some collector and wants to help Sunoo escape and has decided to bring me along. You could come with us but I need you to chill the hell out and follow along I promise we will get out of here together." Ni-ki said making sure to keep eye contact. Sung-Hoon tussled Ni-ki's hair before grabbing the back of his head and pushing their foreheads together Sung-Hoon laughed as he let Ni-ki go. "What's the plan?"

Downstairs Jake and Hee-Seung were conversing making their way to the dining hall, "Are you sure bringing Ni-ki along will keep Sunoo in line? Jake asked quietly and Hee-Seung looked at him eyebrow raised lifting his pointer finger to his lips and making a shushing noise before turning away with a smirk.

When they made it to the dining hall Hee-Seung spotted Jung-Won, Sunoo, and Jay eating together deep in conversation and he couldn't hold back the small smile that escaped. "You look creepy standing here and looking at him why don't we just go and sit down." Jake said his voice ringing loud inside Hee-Seung's mind. "It's nice to see him smiling again it's been a while since I've last seen him with a smile," Hee-Seung said out loud and thought about how it wouldn't last long Jake turned to Hee-Seung Then back towards the table at Jung-Won who had now noticed their presence the smile on his face dropped as Hee-Seung began walking towards them.

As Jake and Hee-Seung sat down at the table Hee-Seung made sure to sit next to Jung-Won who immediately made space for him Jake laughed as he sat next to Jay who made to stand and leave when he froze in place and sat down almost robotically. "Jake you have to stop doing that," Jung-Won stated as Jay started to come to his senses shaking his head back and forth. "Why would I? It's so fun You're just mad all you can do is copy yourself a couple of times it's not my fault I'm better than you." Jake said back staring down Jung-Won when a sharp piercing sound broke through the noise of the dining hall making everyone cover their ears. Jake and Jung-Won looked at Hee-Seung when the sound stopped unbothered he picked up a carrot from Jung-Won's plate and bit into it. "You're going to burst someone's eardrums out one day you asshole." Jake sneered uncovering his ears and grabbing Jay's drink. The latter looked at him and then to Sunoo for reassurance that he wasn't going insane. "You know you have two legs and can get one yourself. " Jake said staring daggers at Jake as he took his cup back Sunoo couldn't help but laugh he was glad he could be a part of this even if it were only temporary.
